It's really unfair to assume a seller has fakes just because they start their listings at 99 cents. I wouldn't have the stomach for it, but I've seen identical items listed and those that start at 99 cents might sell for $300 and another listing with a starting price of $200 doesn't get a single bid.

That's absolutely right. I prefer to bid an item I like up and rarely bid on ones that start over $100.00. I've sold 5 bags on ebay starting at .99.
