Hi,

It's authentic, but I don't know the Name or the style or the collection. I had the same bag and it was authenticated on the "ebay purse board" a few years ago.

Don't give up and keep checking back here. Weekends are sort of slow. Welcome to the purse forum.

Maybe Hyacinth will have some thoughts? She knows more about these oddball creeds and more about the various Coach collections than I do.

:smile1:

I'm pretty sure it's a Hollister Tote from the Sheridan line, from around 1993 or 1994.

I am quite new to coach bags and was wondering if anyone could help me with information about a bag with the serial M1K-8909, I cant seem to find info on it anywhere. The bag I was looking at is straw style with black trim and pink interior with pink creed. I have no pics, sorry. Was concerned since I can't find anything on net about it. TIA

This is what that style is supposed to look like. Anything else is fake:

The bag is fake, but a very scary one because it could fool many unsuspecting bidders/buyers. If you know what to look for, you can spot the things that are wrong. The stitching all around the bag is the wrong color. The black hangtag is fake. The stitching on the inside lining is all puckered. The font on the creed is wrong and the spacing on the creed is wrong. The stitching on the creed is also the wrong color. The price tag is almost an exact copy of a real price tag down to the font, but if you compare it to a real one of this style, there are differences. This is a very scary fake!

Ugh! This "Powerseller" also has two fake 6K13 Coach wallets up. And all his/her auctions are Private. Why am I not surprised.

eBay Seller: eabaydoc: Health Beauty, Clothing, Shoes Accessories items on eBay.com

I've attached some pictures comparing details of the fake Op Art Sabrina 12947 with pictures of real Op Art Sabrinas of the same style (found on ebay).

Fake Op Art Sabrina front 12947 - Notice the color of the stitching on around the bag and on the handles compared to the real one.

Fake Sabrina bottom - Notice the shape and color of the stitching around the brass snaps.

Fake Sabrina creed - Notice the different font used for the letters and numbers and the spacing differences at the top and bottom.

Despite being reported numerous times, the auction remained up and now it has ended with a winning bidder. I feel bad for the buyer that got scammed.

I would feel more comfortable if I could see more pictures, including a picture of the creed. Especially since it's a seller with no recent feedback, I'd want to know if the picture is the actual picture of the bag. The bag is described as "Pre-Owned" in one place and "Mint Condition With Tags" in another place in the auction.

The 8909 bag I looked at looks like the one you posted pics of, Been Burned, all except that the outside leather is black, like this pic I found of another style.

Hi there, I have 2 Coach Madelines. They are the same color, size, but their creeds are different. One was purchased from the Coach outlet, and I was told the other was purchased from the Coach retail store. Could they really have 2 different creeds? I have seen both creeds in this style # on ebay from reputable sellers, but I thought I would check here to make sure they are both authentic. They are style #11554. The first purse is very stiff, while the second is very soft. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

The reason the creeds are different is because each bag was produced at a different time. The first letter in the creed stands for what month the bag was made and the number stands for the year.
A = January
B = February
C = March
and so on.. with the exception of "I" ("I" was skipped because it looks too much like a 1)
The first Madeline was made in October 2007 and the second Madeline was made in December 2007. As for the feel of the leather it may just be from wear or the amount of processing the leather went through. Hope this helps! = )
