woohoo its authentic :woohoo: I really like this bag... wish me luck!! If I win I will :yahoo: and do the :happydance: (although I am pretty sure this bag will probably be a bid war and go above my budget)

Thanks Starry, Hyacinth, and Been Burned ... Its so nice to know that you ladies really know your handbags!! I truly appreciate all of your insight.. as a newbie it is very difficult telling between authentic and fake...

The most I know on telling a fake (which probably isnt 100% accurate) is by using the zippers... I used to sell my handmade soaps at my local flea market. I didnt even know that the main handbag seller there sold all knockoffs until a lady I met who occasionally came to sell some of her authentic bags told me... She brings her bags, usually only a few, that her and her daughters were done using (in awesome condition) and she had me pull her bags zippers and then I went and did the same for the hand bag ladies and OMG there was such a difference... I went from feeling a nice smooth silent ride to noisy, having to pull hard to get it to move with quite a bumpy ride!

Needless to say... the bag and wristlet came in today for my daughter and the first thing I did was test the zipper LOL... Thanks ladies as those bags definitely were 100% authentic and you eased my worries after I purchased them before I knew about this awesome forum!

by the way... Hyacinth... yes ma'am.. heading to bed now! :smile1:

Good night everyone!

Just remember that fakes can use good-quality zippers too. Never base authenticating on something that the crooks can use just as easily as Coach can. We always tell everyone who thinks that having YKK zippers proves a bag is genuine that Coach has used at least four brands of zippers that I know of, and counterfeit manufacturers can buy YKK zippers just as easily as Coach can. And there are plenty of things INCLUDING soap that can be rubbed on a cheap zipper to make it work smoothly, at least for a while.

Please NEVER depend on ANY one or two things to "prove" a bag is genuine - believe me, there's no such thing.

Good luck, hope you win your bag!

The hats are all fake. It looks like the fake hats scammer is back with another account. This person has listed their fake hats using different accounts. When one account is closed for selling fakes, they list on another account. They have 7 fake hats up right now (1 auction ended). Please report:

The crook is currently NARU but they'll be back with a new ID very soon.

Hyacinth...
Thanks for the info about the zippers... you really do know your bags and what fakers do!! :smile1:
I knew the zippers wasnt the only way in telling and definitely not to base judgement on only that... I was just amazed at the huge difference in the smooth ride vs bumpy ride... I just now know that Coach or any other designer bag would not make a bag with a noisy bumpy ride... which is definitely great info (and a shocker) for someone who was totally clueless at the time LOL..

When the lady (who buys only authentic) I met was talking to me .. I knew nothing about handbags... She was informing me... to me a purse was a purse LOL... I didnt even truly know what a Coach was to be honest... The whole zipper thing was something she was pointing out as something easy to tell quickly between her bags and the knockoffs that were there at the moment...
The regular seller at the flea market a.k.a Bag Lady had been selling a few tables away from me (she was selling before I ever started there) and I never looked at her bags... never knew they were knockoffs... I wasnt into purses and handbags... I let my daughter buy a couple... I just thought they were purses... I mean I knew that there were knockoff handbags in the world.... but for the prices they were sold at the flea market I just thought they were discontinued or outlet bags...

Now I am glad that I have learned some info on purses because now I regret ever letting my daughter purchase them... I cringe at the thought of my money (on just a couple purses) could have possibly funded terrorism or the bag coming from a sweat shop and made by children... grrrr

I am just glad I found out all the info I am learning... I am very glad to have found this forum!!
I orginally started looking for handbags and purses for my 15 year old... now.. I want them too... hahaha... and hopefully one of these days I will be able to tell between the authentics and fake just by looking at pictures!

(sorry for the long post)
