bumping this in case anyone else knows. I saw another listed that had a G beginning the serial number instead of the K.

This is the link to the bag in question:

And here's another that I am comparing it to:

Thanks for any help.

The second one is a Pilot bag (note the P at the end of the style number). The pilot bag (which is a initial release of a new style to test how well it sells before releasing it in full production) has a different color stripe, different shade of green on the leather trim, different color Coach stamp, and a different color hangtag. The stitching is a bit sloppy on the creed, but I think it's ok. The G at the beginning of the serial number means this one was made in July (2007).

The first one's creed looks a bit worn, but I think the bag looks ok. The K at the beginning of the serial number means this one was made in October (2007). Here is another auction for one in the same color:

Any thoughts on this? It says there are no stains but the pic of lining does look stained-i do like the syle.

Please advise-auction is ending soon.

Thanks

The bag is authentic, but the inside bottom does look a bit dirty. I don't know if it's stains or crumbs. If it's a stain, the seller should have mentioned it; if it's crumbs, you'd think the seller would have cleaned it out before taking pics.

I bought this on Ebay and it seems to be fine, neat details - C's are symmetrical and not sloppy. Can anyone else let me know if you think it's authentic or not? I also got the matching wallet. Here are the item numbers:

170329415078

and 180356871697

#1 - The first one is authentic.

#2 - It's hard to tell with wallets. The first picture looks like a stock photo. Do you still have the price tag? Can you take a picture of the inside of the tag with the codes? Hopefully someone else can take a look at this too:

Great! I'm relieved to hear the bag is authentic. It came in yesterday afternoon and boy is it pretty in person! The wallet isn't here yet, it was shipped from Toronto coming all the way to West Nevada so I would imagine it'll take awhile. As soon as it gets here I will post pictures of it. The biggest red flag for me was that I originally wanted one that he had listed, but it got purchased before I had the chance to - the same style, color, and pictures. Then, later that afternoon the one I purchased became available. Same pictures, same color and style - so he either has a few and only wants to list them one at a time for the best price (smart move on his part, coming from an ex-seller), or they aren't real. I just don't know.

Yes, definitely post pics when you get it.

I didn't see the auction. Was it determined to be fake?

I REALLY hope no one here reported that as fake, because I don't think it was.

A reminder to all the members reading this forum - please don't report something as fake if you're not familiar with that item until the EXPERTS have had a chance to look at it.

It's NOT a contest to see who can report something first. And we're NOT here to cause problems for legitimate sellers!

Sorry, this is fake. It looks like it's trying to copy the Soho Stripe line, but I've never seen this in a wallet. The stamp on the front is wrong and the inside of the wallet doesn't look like one Coach would make.

Thanks for the information. I am not upset. I paid $5 for it at a Garage Sale and bought it just because I loved the interior design and the colors. I actually feel better knowing that I won't be abusing a genuine Coach with my daily use!

i am just checking back on since last night so i sure did not report it. I appreciate your info. Guess I have to look for another one now. I appreciate the help received from all of the experts. I would not know fake from real otherwise. thank you.

There are several posts in the Answers To Authenticity Questions about this, please read them when you get a chance.

Older bags DON'T have grommets around the hangtag opening. That bag is genuine.

Hi Hyacinth,

After I posted, I thought it might be an older bag thing since all my bags are new styles. Thank you for the information and I will read up some more.
