There is a family of wallets in that style although I can't find the exact one in the listing, but I'm sure that "new style" French Purse exists - and those DO have hangtags.

That doesn't prove it's real though, knowing the style number of the one in the listing would be a big help.

Well, I originally posted this *bay auction that I won. Kind of mixed reviews on whether everyone thought it was authentic of not. I don't think there were necessarily any red flags. I had previously asked the seller about the authenticity and she just now answered me back. Here was the response:
I apologize this does not come with any tags but is authentic, however, is a sample of Coach. During pre production of collections if there extra samples left over they are sold at "sample sales". That is why this does not include an actual price tag. But IS authentic and made by Coach.
So, my question is whether this sends up any red flags as to authenticity. Does Coach sell "samples". My payment still shows as "unclaimed" on paypal, so I'm not sure if I could cancel this if we think this means it's fake. TIA

AFAIK, Coach doesn't have "Sample sales". Preproduction items are considered Pilot items and are either sold through the Factory stores or returned to Coach. And Pilot items available for sale have price tags just like any other Coach items - in fact, that's probably both a state and a federal law.

Can anyone read the top line of the "care card" in the photos? It looks like it's supposed to be for some kind of (illegible) leather, not for Signature fabrics. Looks like it might say "burnished" which this wallet certainly isn't.

This one doesn't seem to match the others on Coach's site either, the buckle doesn't look like nickel, more like some cheap and dull "mystery metal" which Coach wouldn't use even on a "sample" wallet

Thanks Hyacinth. Any suggestions on what to do next? I paid with a credit card through Paypal. It still shows as "unclaimed" from the seller on Paypal. I can't seem to cancel it through Paypal or at least I can't figure it out. Could I have it reversed through my credit card? Will I need to wait to receive it and then take action? TIA
