Let me apologize in advance, as I feel like I am monopolizing this thread! I am on a mission to build my collection, but since I can't do it through retail, and I'm not close enough to an outlet, I am resigned to purchasing through *bay!! However, I'm just not a sophisticated enough Coachie to trust my judgement on authenticity *yet*.

I am yearning for a Lily!! Could you please take a look at these and let me know if they are authentic? Thanks a bunch!

Hello,
I am no expert and would like for a Senior to let me know if i am incorrect but from my experiance with Coach, THe serial numbers are stamped in, Not written on the leather and if they are any paint of any kind for the serial number, it is still Heat stamped into the leather.
Can a Senior please Give me some insight on how the serial numbers are put in Coach bags?

You are actually incorrect. On many of the legacy bags they are written in gold paint/text and not stamped or embossed in the creed. (I posted pics of authentic creed examples written in gold text)

Both of those Lily's posted look authentic.

Please authenticate this wallet, it looks good to me but I want to be sure because I have never seen this one before. Thanks!

I can't help noticing that that seller isn't giving the style numbers in the listings any more, at least on the fakes.




What's also interesting is that "fashionoulet" has removed the fake wallet before eBay had a chance to pull it BUT after it was mentioned here- I have a really strong feeling that the seller checks these posts and may even be a tPF member.

Just one of the reasons why we don't like to go into a lot of detail about why we believe something to be fake.




Just another reason why I wouldn't trust that seller as far as I could throw them - the one in the listing was exactly the same style as the one at Coach.com except for the mistakes. What exactly did they say? I'd really love to read their answer if you still have it.

this was the answer i got:
"All my items are real, I don't sell fakes. This wallet is regular CC
signature not large CC, the lining is brown not pink. It is different
from the one on coach.com."

This looks like the smaller size, style #10287. There was also a larger size, style #12060. I don't know if these were exclusive to the outlets, or if they were sent to the outlets, or if there is an outlet version of this. I know that originally they were available for sale in department stores. It does look like there's an outlet stamp on the creed for this one. That's why I wanted to see a closeup picture of the creed to see which style this was.
