Hi, welcome to the forum! Unfortunately, this bag is fake. Several clues: The serial number on the creed is wrong. The inside lining is wrong (signature bags should have not have signature lining nor lining that says "Coach.") The Coach stamp on the hardware is wrong. The stitching is actually pretty shoddy looking. The fabric looks cheap. And look carefully at what the creed says. The description of the bag on the creed does NOT match the material the bag is made of! And you will see several misspellings on the creed. I find it hilarious that it says, "The variations in the chair" LOL. Whoever put this bag on the "real" side of the store was misinformed. I hope you can get your money back.

OMG! I didn't even see the word "CHAIR" in there. What an idiot I am!!! And no, this store won't do refunds or exchanges, as it's a thrift store, but I will stop by and speak to a supervisor. If they're going to separate the purses by high and low end and price them accordingly, then they should educate themselves on what to look for in a real bag. I feel bad, because bags are not normally my thing and when I saw this, I didn't want to pass it up. There was no time for me to educate myself before the purchase, so I snatched it up. 4 other women were drooling on it as soon as I grabbed it, so that made me feel like I found a real treasure.

DANG! Oh well, lesson learned. Thank you!

By the way, so glad I found this forum! :)

If it's the chain Goodwill, they should take a return and give you a credit voucher. :smile1:

PS: I found the store's website and customer service email, so I complained there. Maybe they will have a heart and do something about this. They're a "no refunds, no exchanges" sort of place, so we'll see. I mentioned that if they couldn't tell a difference in the purses they're pricing (the $2 cheapos and the $20-50 legits), then they shouldn't price them differently.
Wish me luck.

Could someone please look at this for me? I missed the boat on the other auction, so I'm trying to get this wallet. The seller has several other Coach wallets on sale, but they look authentic to my untrained eye. Thank you!

You have to pay attention to these danger signs especially with wallets:

Low # of feedbacks and/or new Ebay seller - may be a previously banned seller under a new ID

Sells only wallets (or keychains, or whatever), especially multiples of the same styles

Sells any of these commonly faked styles - 6K13 (Hamptons Sig Checkbook) 6K10, leather and fabric Ergos, checkbook wallets in bright colors or fabrics other than the classic Signature pattern and colors.

Starts listings at much less than 50 percent of the retail price or has BIN prices less than 60 percent of retail.

Coach experts will also look for things that shouldn't be there, and no, I'm not going to explain that, for reasons I've explained before. Sorry.

Any of these just by themselves mean that you should take a close look at the seller. More than one usually means look someplace else. What do you think?

(BTW, this seller has hit a perfect score - 5 out of 5. I'll be reporting him later)

Thanks, Hyacinth. I'm usually pretty good at picking out fake bags, but wallets are a whole other territory, especially on eBay! I won't be buying this wallet - I was lured in by the fact that the seller is from Canada, which saves me duty, but there's no point at all in getting a fake!
