The first one is authentic you need to ask the second seller to take more pictures. The picture is taken far away and it is hard to tell. The first purse is one made for the outlets I dont remember what year but you can tell that it is real to me anyway.

Thanks Hyacinth. Nobody seems to know. There were a few SA at the outlet that admire my old Coaches. Maybe I have a good excuse to go?

temo, there were Coaches before the creed. I have one with only the one word marking the bag and have heard about metal tags. No idea if this bag is good or not. I believe the hippy flap style has been much counterfeited.

Is it true that there was a time "before the creed?"

the stitching on the flaps of the pockets (right above the turnlocks) just points out, like an L shape. On the bag in the picture its like a T. was there some variation on this?

I do find the small YKK marking on the zipper. Large Carly doesn;t have any COACH imprints on the metal parts or other places?
I also notice that on pic 3 there is a samll line of glue on above the pocket, but since this is second hand I guess everything is possible.

The color of this Mandy is called "Natural." The Legacy leather bags in Natural have white creeds, while the whiskey color bags have brown creeds. Sometimes you will see sellers mislabeling Natural colored bags as "Whiskey" in their auctions because the colors are similar and they may not know the real color name. Natural is a lighter color brown and Whiskey is darker. You can tell when bags are mislabeled as Whiskey if you see that it has a white creed, which means the color is actually Natural. This auction is labeled properly. I have a Natural Legacy bag myself and it has a white creed. (I also have ones in black and whiskey - I just love Legacy leather bags! ;))

As for the "stain" on the bottom of the bag, I've actually seen some Legacy bags being sold on eBay that have this darkening on the bottom. I think it was either a manufacturing defect or maybe the bag was set down on something. It's just odd that it's only on the side edges, which makes me think it may have happened in the factory.

This is another example of small details varying from the drilldown pictures. The stitching on all my Legacy bags above the turnlocks point down in a "T" pattern, like the bag in the auction, and not like the drilldown pic.

This looks good. Carlys should never have any "Coach" imprinted on any of the hardware. If you see one that does, it's fake.
