Outside of the colour in the description not being the one in the photo and on the tag... could someone confirm the authenticity of this wallet for me please?

I really like it!! :)

btw- I know the checkbook part is removable... but once you remove it, is there anything behind it? Or are you just left with a plain leather flap?

TIA!! ^^

It's never really possible to say a wallet is genuine just from photos. I'm not seeing any obvious red flags although the stitching colors aren't quite the same as in Coach's photos. You have to actually handle a Coach wallet to be sure it's real.

If you bid, be sure you pay with a credit card or with Paypal funded by a credit card, just to be safe.

The checkbook is held in place by either a plain leather flap or slot.

How about this one? It looks like a Hampton and it came up on the drilldown, but when I asked the seller for more pics she would only do it by sending them to my email address and not posting them.

Should I be leary? I checked all the feedback and she has sold several Coach bage that have all sold for under $50.

Might be too good to be true

TIA, Maggie

All the seller's bags look genuine, but I'd be worried about all the marks on the pink one. If those are grease or ink marks, I doubt very much if you'll ever be able to remove them and on that light-colored leather they'll probably be pretty obvious.

As for the prices of the ones she's sold, they're in line with what similar used bags are selling for on Ebay. The seller could do a better job of taking pictures though, especially in stuffing the bags well and taking photos of the creed. Many experienced buyers insist on a creed photo and if the seller refuses, they'll buy from someone else.

There are just too many fake Sig Stripe bags on Ebay for me to feel comfortable giving an opinion. I also wonder why a brand new bag would be missing the price tag, the hangtag AND the luggage tag. In fact, none of her "new" bags still have the price tag, and almost all are also missing the leather hangtag. Why?

To me, a "new" bag should have everything on it that it had when it was in the store, and the hangtag is an integral part of a Coach bag. There may be a legitimate reason why all these tags are missing, but at the moment I can't think of one. Personally I wouldn't bid, but after looking at so many fakes, I've found that there's no such thing as being TOO paranoid. The bags look genuine, but the missing tags make me very uncomfortable.

Thanks Hyacinth. I had the same thoughts on the marks as well. It's just such a cute bag, but since she doesn't want to actually post anymore pics, I told her in my reply to her email that I would do business elsewhere.
