So, I received the bag today and I was curious as it has the small Coach tag inside. I went on Ebay and did a search and all the ones I came across either had a small stamp that said Coach (2 of them) or one had a Coach creed stamp). The bag is new and has never been used so can you guys authenticate it? Seems to good of a find for what I paid.:yahoo:
I think that the experts will confirm that during the pre-creed era, COACH migrated away from employing metal tags and started using the imprinted cartouche sometime in the very late 1960s to early 1970s. So the particular one you have probably predates the others you've seen.

Hello Again, Everyone & Happy Spring!

This is my most recent find that I would like to be certain of. 10 1/2 tall x 10 wide across bottom x 5 1/2 deep also measured from the bottom. The creed reads E6D 9952. Many thanks! ~ Auntie C :broom:

I saw this and again would like to test my "nose" for sniffing out fakes...

Item:
COACH Willis Black leather cross body shoulder bag purse United States
Listing number:
252323731689
Seller:
erin8969 (2385 )
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-Willi...731689?hash=item3abfaa98e9:g:5D0AAOSwvgdW4d5d

Comments: A Willis bag with ID number J8H-4160? I don't think so. Volume sellers really should know better.

Thank you in advance for either confirming or correcting my assumption.
You are correct. It's fake.

ETA: Someone should look at this other listing from erin8969. I have questions:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/coach-brown...322846?hash=item3abf95199e:g:DF4AAOSwB4NWxzVD

ETA again!! This is DEFINITELY fake:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/coach-patri...622101?hash=item3d141fa095:g:sj0AAOSw5dNWonG1

I don't recommend erin8969.

It's authentic. Yours is probably older than the others you saw. I think you must have gotten a great deal!

The "Lexington" is definitely fake, is that the red one you mean? Wrong font in the serial number, the year code is more than 3 years too early (it wasn't introduced until early 1998), the lining should have the Coach lozenge logo, and the Coach stamp on the front is too far from the edge of the flap.

That seller erin8969 should be avoided!

eta - PLEASE REPORT, MY 'PUTER IS BEING SNIPPY AND i'M NOT SURE IF MY REPORT WENT THROUGH

Any opinions on the one in red above? Other fakes have been removed already.

Yes, I had to change the "ETA" font to red because TPF won't let me change the URL to a red font.

That is the bag I was asking about and thank you for confirming my suspicions.
