  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock

Genuine and from 1993. Maybe the leather around the zipper got damaged or ripped and the owner decided to remove it.

It's a gorgeous color, I wish they had made more styles in that shade. In the 90s it was pretty much limited to Sonomas and some Soho and classic styles in mid-97. But it never made it onto any of my personal favorites, like the Willis, City Bag or Patricia's Legacy from that period. It doesn't seem fair. :crybaby:

Good Morning all! I'm new to this forum and certainly new to Coach bags but I came across one at a second hand shop about two months ago and as much research as I've done I'm not convinced it's the real deal. If anyone could help me out here I would greatly appreciate it and if you need additional pictures I can take those as well.

Check inside the bag down around the bottom or in the inside pocket around the bottom seam for a small white fabric tag with 2 rows of numbers and letters on it. That's the replacement for the old creed and serial number stamp. Take a photo if you can, the fabric can usually be loosened enough to take a photo of the tag.

BTW, I added the HTML to your URLs to make them clickable links. Unfortunately the 4th and 5th links aren't working for me either way.

I think you're right, someone must've removed that inside strip because of damage.

It's so interesting trying to imagine the history of a bag - in this case how the outside can look so cared for, but the inside looks beat up.

There is at least one place on the exterior (picture 4) where the thread seems to be unraveling.
