Comments: Made in China E23-9342 Is this authentic, and if so is it made in 2002? The E23 prefix throws me. I checked the Fake list and didn't find it there. I also did a "search this thread" and came up with zero matches. I vaguely remember something about a letter and two numbers prefix, but it must not have been this prefix and I cannot remember if it was okay or not.

Please read post number 1 in this thread for the information we need for authentication. The same information helps for identification too. Please post measurements and a photo of the creed stamp and serial number.

And if it's what I think it is (a Brighton Bag), it's from the early 1990s, not the 1970s.

It's a genuine Scout Bag, style 9890 and the seller's age estimate is a bit early. The style was introduced in the early 1990s.

The bag and serial number details seem ok to me too. If time is a factor you can probably risk not getting a clearer photo.
