Hi all and thank you in advance for your help. I bought this, I'm sure, at a garage sale or thrift shop and prob didn't overpay. Do these SOLID BRASS stamps on the buckles of this Fletcher automatically rule it out as a fake? I do love the style, prob still use regardless. Thank you!
Wow! That's an interesting one! The creed looks perfectly fine. Do the buckles feel heavy, like they really are solid brass? I would think that by 2000, they wouldn't have made a mistake like this but who knows?

Appreciate your reply - actually, they don't have too much weight unfortunately, a bit hollow-ish to me. I have nothing here to compare them to. And so bright? Adding more images if that helps.

Authentic IMO. I've seen 2000 and 2001 Costa Rica buckles stamped solid brass in all caps. However there ARE counterfeit 4150 with SOLID BRASS engraved the that are on the side of the buckle. I'd stay away from those.

Hello, can anyone give me their thoughts on the authenticity of this bag.
  • Item not listed online
    Item: D2J-2901
Where purchased or how obtained: Thrift Store in California
Comments: The lady had it priced at 60 dollars or so and had it on discount so I got it for 35 which is not bad but if its fake I would like to confront them about it because they told me it was authentic. I didnt really have extensive knowledge on how to authenticate it on the spot so I just grabbed it. I would appreciate the help. Thank you!
  • The bag measure H: 8 inches W: 12 inches
Lmk if more images of the bag are needed

Comments: I bought this recently and it was priced at 60 and was discounted to 35. The lady selling it reassured me that it was authentic but I dont have extensive knowledge in order to authenticate a coach bag on the spot. For 35 I decided to grab it but if it turns out to be fake I was planning on going back and confronting them about it. I’ve searched the serial no everywhere and have had no luck. Thank you again!

Fake. The thrift store owes you a refund. Take it back and insist. Selling counterfeits is illegal even if they are a charity.

Thank you, I thought so but being a small business I would’ve hoped for more honesty. I was planning on going back but I was suggested by family not to alone as a woman being it’s not in the nicest part of town. I left a review on their google reviews but I can’t get in contact with anyone from the store. I’ll just take this loss. I appreciate the help:)

I’ve been going down a rabbit hole of vintage styles I can’t resist buying, and I found another one! It’s a Patricia’s Legacy bag, and I know those are popular ones to fake, so any help would be very appreciated!

Hi All - sorry in advance if I am posting wrong - never done this before.

I have a newer style coach I found thrifting and I’ve never seen this style code with the “FQ” and can’t find other examples of it… was hoping you could help.
