Found the following "RARE" bag listed on Poshmark, based on what I understand of Coach serial numbers, the xxx-xxxx format means it was either produced in the mid to late 70s or the 90s, but to me the style doesn't fit either era. However, I am no expert which is why I'm hoping someone here will be able to authenticate it for me. If it is vintage Coach, it's in spectacular condition. The style/serial number on the creed is N5E-4424.

Item: red frame shoulder bag

It's authentic. Ignore the comments on the listing that says it's from the 70s. The date is right there in the creed. It was made in 1995. It appears to be part of the Madison line, but I have never seen it in a catalog. I've only seen it once before. @houseof999

Hello,

Could someone help me authenticate this bag? The seller is saying it was bought in 2001 but this doesn’t appear to match the serial number on the bag. Thank you!

ITEM: Coach Vintage City Bag
Listing number: 116464100633 (item number on ebay)
Seller and site: stunningbird on eBay

It's authentic and the serial number represents it was made in 2001. G represents the month July, 1 represents the year 2001, and 3 represents the plant, China. Sometimes people get confused when numbers instead of letters were used for plant codes.

This was the same bag sold on Mercari from Japan. It's authentic IMO, possibly an overseas exclusive style. However, (to my knowledge) Coach never published anything in print that says to US customers what styles are overseas exclusive. They also didn't specify on any creed about the exclusivity. We just find out about them by discovering them from the international market. Even now, certain bags released in specific colors for the other countries are discovered by social media or simply going to UK or Japan coach websites.

Hello! If you can look at this bag for me when you have the time, that would be great.

Item: Suede with coach signature pattern shoulder bag

Where purchased or how obtained: yard sale

Comments: measures approximately 11 inches high without strap and 14 inches across. Looks to have an outlet stamp in the corner of the creed.
