  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock

Item: Medium Soft Duffle, Black (#1414, China, 2006)
Seller: Savers Thrift Store ($14)
Size: 12" x 12"

Comments: Please offer an authentication opinion, thank you. The creed is a bit "puffy" and difficult to read so I've also tried high-lighting it with eyeshadow; let me know if additonal photos are needed.

I think that the small, nickel hangtag is original but the bag appears to be missing the long, leather tassel for the top zipper pull? It also appears that the long, adjustable shoulder strap has been doubled and looped to make it shorter.

Do you know that full name of this bag? Did these bags below to a Coach design line like "Soho" or "East-West"?

It looks fine. I don't have 1414 in my files. I have 1415, which looks similar. Maybe 1414 has the same name with large added.

Hi. Could someone please authenticate this Coach messenger bag. On the Creed, at the end it says "YOUES".

The bag and hardware are weighty and the stitching perfect FYI.

Bought from a thrift shop in London today and sold to me as authentic.

Thank you for letting us know that the bag came from a thrift store.

I believe the bag is authentic and the misspelled "yours" is a Coach-made mistake. (Misspellings are obviously more common on fakes though.)

I found the following Coach ad and enlarged the creed. Although a bit grainy, I see the same error in Coach's own add.

Hello Authenticators — May I please have your help with this bag? It’s completely outside my wheelhouse being a newer one made in China…

Item: c1182-f16908 — Brooke Perforated Convertible Hobo?
Seller: Thrifted at GW
Dims: approx 12.5w x 10h x 4.5d
Comments: Didn't pay much, great condition. So hoping it’s not a fake but won’t be entirely surprised if it is. Light grey pearlized w/ shiny nickel hardware, coral lining. I’m not great at reading new creeds and numbers. If authentic, made in 2011? And is the F still for factory bag?

ETA: Hubs says “taupe with salmon lining”. 😂

Just FYI from past experience....I found bicycle shops to be helpful in cutting locks. (I also purchased a bolt cutter to add to my tool box :smile:
ETA: I tried to erase my post because I think it may not be appropriate here in the authenticate thread. Was unable to do so.
