Thanks.

I thought derby bags had buttons for closing not turnlocks?

There's no way to tell without examining the actual bag, but it looks to me as if there may have been a more round piece of hardware on it originally, if you look closely at the area right above the top edge of the turnlock. I'm wondering if the original Springlock might have broken since they were known to have problems and Coach replaced the Springlock with a turnlock some time after the Springlock had been discontinued and were no longer in stock?

Fake.

Thanks! It was called a Sonoma small backpack natural grain and it was made in 1995 or 1996 in Italy. The N in the month code is a known mistake they made in the Italian plant so it might have been made in January 1996. Here is a catalog picture. I'm not sure about the color. It could be sea or aqua.
Thank you @whateve, I was indeed a bit thrown off by the N-code and the “Made in Italy” at the bottom instead of in the creed text. I did try to do my research, but I do not rely on it 😉. Amazing hoe old the bag is, because it still looks in such good shape. Thanks again!

I got this bag at a consignment store online called Zippy chicks. zippychicks.com The site only had one picture, which I think has been since deleted, so I'm including my own pictures. Please and thank you for taking a look. I think this is a mini bag.

Any idea why the listing is still up and continuing to gain bids?

One more bag to ask about today: https://www.ebay.com/itm/387149217960 I'm taking this poor thing on as a rehab project. Is it a classic shoulder pouch? The creed is blurry but does show NY City, and the format xxx-xxxx. Thanks for looking.

No size given, but you can see the size (sort of) with the guy's hand as comparison.
