Boy--do I feel terrible. This bag--a consigned item--was pulled from Ebay due to it being reported as counterfeit. The owner believed it to be an authentic City Bag (9790), and is upset. It was listed under 360kelly (seller), and I can't seem to be able to attach original listing. It's approx 11" wide, 8" high, 3.5" deep, and strap drop up to 20". Could you please list the items which point to it being fake? Thank you very, very much!

it’s authentic.

Then--why does Ebay pull? Is one person reporting it fake enough to take a listing down? THANK you for your expertise, BeenBurned! ~ K
I can't say why it was pulled but it's not fake.

What did the takedown notice say?

Hi all, this red dinky bag has the wrong style number. It looks very real but this mistake is giving me pause. Is this fake? Found at a local thrift store. E6C-9955

I think it is probably okay. Probably not a dinky but a pocket purse - should be 9755. You might have trouble reselling it due to the mistake.

Oh wow, thank you. I’m surprised but pleased. Do you happen to know the name or style number BeenBurned as I can’t find anything.
I know how busy we keep our lovely Authenticators and how grateful we all are, so I did some more digging on my new bag (kindly authenticated by BeenBurned) and I understand it to be a Museum Bag. I’d not heard of these before. I think there is a smaller one called the Bistro.

Anyway, just putting this out there incase anyone else comes across one of these.

Thank you for sharing your expertise, BeenBurned! Ebay reversed their decision shortly after I spoke to them this morning. I told them that the bag was authenticated here. You are invaluable. Even though the bag is not an expensive one, it's the principle!

wow! Congratulations. That’s the first time I’ve heard of eBay accepting a TPF authentication and reinstating a listing.

Hi!
This bag doesn't have a creed tag and the owner doesn't recall where or when they got the bag. It looks like a mini or cosmetic bag and I understand those sometimes do not have a tag. Can you tell if this is authentic? I greatly appreciate any assistance on this one.
