The black Soho Handle Bag from 1996 and the mahogany Soho Small Satchel from 1998 are both genuine.

Hi authenticators and Happy Holidays to you. 2 questions: Is this real? And I notice the seller is using a coach catalog picture, and also has watermarked it with her store name. Is that ok to do that? Thanks! https://www.etsy.com/listing/1564152714/mint-navy-vintage-coach-chrystie-bag?click_key=354e199ee0c3e3142328f9de0c8a416a19623e77%3A1564152714&click_sum=bee0f522&ref=user_profile&cns=1&sts=1

Mint, Navy, Vintage Coach Chrystie Bag 9892 - Etsy
It's authentic. I have no idea if it is legal for her to watermark a picture of a catalog page.

It's an infringement on Coach's intellectual property for ThePurpleCocoon to put her watermark on Coach's copyright catalog images.

4, Ergo Mini Zip 9020 in Black, made in United States, #L7D-9020, 9" x 9" (at top) approx
**I know the creed is hard to read, lmk I can take another photo
5. Pocket Ergo 9033 in Lilac, made in United States, #H7N-9033, 12"x11"x3" (approx)

The 9020 Ergo looks good.

I'm uncomfortable with the the H7N-9033 serial with a United States creed, I don't have any examples for comparison in my files for that date and plant combination.
MORE OPINIONS ARE NEEDED

ETA -
I see that BeenBurned also noticed a problem with the lilac Ergo.

EATA - Seems strange for an Ergo Pocket Zip to NOT HAVE ANY OUTSIDE POCKETS.
Hey there! Thanks y'all for the authentications - I never thought anybody would get back to me today!!

For the 9033, that has 2 outer pockets on one side only. Maybe it is not obvious from my pictures laying flat. I have a few of that style and the construction of this purple bag is pretty much correct in size and detai. It is a good fake. I didn't like the 2 one-sided fobs, I thought that was weird.
OK that one goes in the fake pile.

Right. I forgot that even if you own the catalog it is not okay to copy and distribute copies of all or part of the catalog.

Michelle, I've corrected my previous post. Sorry about that. In the photos the pocket opening is almost invisible.

But the serial prefix still shows an invalid code combination, and the split hangtag on a bag from that year is also a red flag as you already noticed.

thanks
About 6 years ago I was addicted to estate sales and one sale had a Coach rehabber/reseller inventory of 200+ Coach bags. The auction house broke it into 3 parts and I bought one, about 70 bags - that's where these fakes come from. Probably her entire inventory was thrifted back when Coach was much cheaper. And it was harder to authenticate 20 years ago too, so she probably thought all were real.

If all the rest you bought are genuine, that's still a pretty good percentage. And authentication has come a long way in the last 20 years. :girlsigh:

Have a wonderful holiday!

Interesting because this etsy seller has watermarked most, if not all, of the Coach catalog photos used in her/his listings.
