While it wasn't really late at night, objectively, after a long day I was headed to bed. Someone, maybe a cat, hit the 'buy it now' button. Thoughts?

Seller: us2015.aksa
Number:204278280105

The cat in question still thinks it looks ok in the light of day. Thank you all!
LOL! You need to change your PW! The next purchase might be a $30K Hermes!

The bag is authentic, made in 1994.

Unfortunately because of computer problems I can only (barely) see the main listing photo so if there are any photos of areas I really need to see like the creed and serial number details, one of the narrow sides, the entire strap and strap attachment, the construction of the inside and underflap pockets, the full base and at least one bottom corner, etc, I can't see them at all.

Please wait for one of the other authenticators to take a look. It's not a City Bag and the seller's measurements indicate that it's too big for a Compartment Bag. One possibility is a Pocket Bag style 9875 from the early 1990s but that's a completely wild guess on my part based ONLY on the shape of the front panel and that's just not enough since it doesn't seem as if the bag in the listing photo has a gusseted underflap pocket like the Pocket Bag does.

BTW, if those pen marks the seller mentioned are on the outside of the bag they're probably permanent.
Sorry to be so late getting back to this, someone else bought the bag, or at least the posting ended. It was not that compelling to me, but in the interests of identification, here are the photos from the original post ( at least, I hope this works!).

It's not a Pocket Bag since it has the wrong kind of strap attachment. I'm STILL not sure what it is. The shape is right for a Compartment Bag but if it is, the seller's measurements are between 1 and 2 inches off in every direction. The proportions in the photos do look closer to the Compartment Bag though.

Sorry you didn't win it, but thanks for the update and the photos.

Hello, just wondering if anyone would be able to authenticate my vintage station in green. It was bought in person by my mom at a thrift shop, so I don’t have a link and don’t know the name of the thrift shop :/ any help is appreciated. Thanks!

There is an old trick I have used many times for estimating dimensions off of old drawings and photos. You find an object in the photo which is a known dimension and use it as a standard to estimate other items in the photo. In this case, you can use a turnlock frame, which is always the same size. Doing this I get an estimated width on that bag of about 9.3", and a height of around 6.2", which is consistent with a Compartment Bag. It looks like the sellers dimensions were way off.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.

There's a style 4904 Medium Drawstring Natural Grain in my files with a late 1993 4x3 serial number that has a plain inside pocket zipper. So it's a very early production bag. That style wasn't even introduced in the catalog in the Natural Grain version until almost a year later so the one with no leather border around the inside zipper is probably the equivalent of a pilot bag. That's the only 4904 that I have any photos of.

Thanks, that's what I suspected.
