I have that one. I have it in my files as #92176 from 2008. It looks good. Mine has a smaller hangtag. More opinions are welcome.

It looks ok to me too.
I have 92176, also with a smaller hangtag but mine has purple around the eyes. (I don't see any problems with the listing in question and wonder if there was a slightly different outlet version but with the same style number. (Mine came from the outlet.)

ETA: Here's another with purple around the eyes.:

I have a huge old black drawstring duffel bag. I know it is authentic because it is mondo ancient. But can anyone tell me when it might be from and what the style is called? The numbers are No. 0324-108. It says it is made in the United States. Thanks a bunch.

The bag may very well be authentic but without pictures, no one can authenticate it just with a serail number.

Please post pictures of the bag, the full creed with serial number and the measurements. If more info is needed after pictures are posted, it'll be requested.

There WAS an earlier style, 92009, from maybe two years before yours. Coach's pic shows the larger hangtag. It's hard to tell from the photo but I'm pretty sure this was also a haircalf style. since it was made at the same time as 92008, the original Monkey Haircalf keychain. And it's probably not a coincidence that the second Monkey Haircalf Keychain was number 92175, also the previous number in sequence to the (possibly MFF) Owl 92176.

ETA - Just checked the one I own and since it has white rather than purple sequins for the eyes I'm assuming it's the older 92009 version. It IS haircalf. Other than the eye color and maybe the hangtag size the 2 versions are identical.

Post number One in this thread explains what information we need to authenticate. Please read it and provide the requested details and photos, including the bag's measurements.

OK, This bag is at least 12 inches across and at least 13 inches high. Its strap is 3 feet where I have it buckled now and could even be 39 inches if I let it out. It i as solid as a Mack truck. Here are the pics. Again, the creed says it is No. 0324-108, which I gather makes it old because it starts with a number, not a letter. Made in the United States. This was a popular style back in the day and seems to be enjoying a renaissance.

To confuse things further, mine has an outlet stamp and the small hangtag (with no outlet mark). The sequins are iridescent. From some angles they might look it but they aren't purple. I have another picture in my files in which they look clear. I'm not sure where I got that picture, either ebay or the reference library.

Do you have pictures of the two monkey haircalf keychains? I have this one: http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/coach-92328-brown-hairy-monkey-key-79252032 and I have it listed in my files as 92328. Were there 3 of them?

It's an authentic duffle drawstring #4022 from the Lightweights collection, made in the early 90s.

Thanks, whateve! That was fast! That's so funny that its from the Lightweights collection, because by modern standards it is no lightweight.

It's interesting to me that folks not only will copy a bag but go so far as faking a creed these days. That's part of the great wave of Made in China intellectual property theft.

Back in the day, you could buy a pretty good knock-off of a Coach design at certain stores on the Lower East Side of NYC. These bags had decent leather (not as indestructible as the Coaches of the day but probably better than some of the thin Coaches of today ) but cut corners on the hardware and in some other ways. They used to cost about half of what a Coach would. But no way would they bother to fake a creed!

Most of the early fakes of classic all-leather Coaches were made in Korea, and they did fake creeds, but usually not very well. Spelling mistakes ("scrtches", "coachbag") and mistakes in basic English grammar were common, and the number of gullible buyers who apparently never even bothered to examine the creeds is amazing. Here are a few examples:

At LEAST three - 92008 and 92175, both identical except maybe for the hangtag, plus the one you posted
