  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

Unfortunately my ancient browser can't open or enlarge the photos. If you can post a photo of the outside base of the bag and maybe one of the outside bottom corners I might be able to answer your question. Thanks!

ETA- a photo that shows if there's an OPEN outside pocket on the back would help too. From the proportions in the one photo I can actually see it looks like the seller's measurements may be correct. If so it might be a Pocket Purse 9755.

ETA- a 9635 Convertible Cluch should have an inside ZIPPED pocket.
This bag does not have an inner zipped pocket. Here are some more photos.

So, I'm curious--is this Sonoma bucket genuine? It is listed on Ebay by seller cysspace1226.

The strap got me curious. If genuine, did Coach change the strap in 1997? I've looked around online and found 3 additional bags with this kind of strap. Of course, I don't know if they are authenticate, but 2 were made in Costa Rica & another in Italy, all 1997. Cant' get a good look at the strap in the 1997 catalog. What thinkest thou?

I'm curious - how does someone become a "Licensed Professional" authenticator? What organization does the licensing? It's the first I've heard of this.

A WORD OF WARNING ABOUT COAs:

Be careful and be sure that you're getting accurate information when buying items with COAs. Not only do some certificates give inaccurate values, but I just did some checking after looking closely at the above COA and seeing something I can't find any confirmation for.

The term "Licensed Professional authenticator" when referring to handbags doesn't seem to have any basis in fact that I can find. I have found a few sites that offer online or in-person training in handbag authentication, but none of them offer anything that could be considered a "license" or even a "certificate" that can be earned through an actual training and testing course for use in general handbag authentication, unlike the situation in the jewelry industry and others where actual professional-level courses in gemology are available and actual professionally-accepted certificates can be earned.

If anyone knows of, and can supply contact information for,any organization that trains, tests and issues any professionally-accepted certificates or licenses that PROVE that an individual has passed a strictly controlled training course and testing program, I'm going to have to question any COAs claiming that their company or site has any kind of "Licensed Professional authenticators" for handbags. Any site claiming it does should be asked to provide a copy of the person's certificate or license along with contact information for the issuer of the certificate or license and where it's accepted. We've seen a few sites do this before and have never seen any proof of any licensing process. Frankly,I don't see how such a thing could even exist, there are just too many different brands, ages and styles to be an expert in all of them. Effective authentication requires some degree of specialization. We've seen what happens when an authentication service tries the "one size fits all, one authenticator authenticates all" business model.

Verify, verify, verify.

Coach have changed strap designs before, and we don't use straps or ANYTHING ELSE that can be changed to prove or disprove authenticity. Even turnlocks with indentations for the prongs can neverprove a Coach is fake without more evidence.

Hi all, I would appreciate your help with ATing this black Coach Tabby 26.
Purchased it online via Zalando.nl, European largest online retailer. My concerns about the authenticity come from the fact that the inside material of my black bag is tan, whereas on the coach site (incl Zalando too) all black Coach Tabby 26 models come with a dark brown inside. The tan color everywhere I could check corresponds to this model in outer color Chalk. Is it possible that what I received is still authentic, or it is an imperative that each model has corresponding outer-inner color pairs? Thank you so much in advance!! Other than this the bag looks of a great quality.

Hi Authenticators, please let me know if you need me to add anything else to this post. My greatest authenticity concern is the inside color of the bag. Thank you in advance for your valuable help.

It's fine. I've seen both kinds on this style. I've never researched which plants/years for which strap type. Gorgeous color!
