Could you please let me know about this one?
Item # 154788431
Tan Coach Willis Cross Body Bag
Comments: from Goodwill - no authentication just a picture of the creed/serial numbers: A4B 9927

thank you!
The bag is authentic and was made in 1994.

But this pi$$es me off about Goodwill because I can't believe they actually believe this is okay to say:
"Items are not officially appraised, certified or authenticated unless otherwise specified. All items are sold "AS IS."

Dear authenticators, could you look at this Korean bag and have it removed. I don't know about the wallet.

Item: Coach red leather wallet and Coach crossbody bag Nice.
Seller and site where listed: dvalasvegas on ebay
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/325421866269?hash=item4bc4a79d1d:g:qpYAAOSweVFjaBWH&amdata=enc:AQAHAAAAsJMpo3+6Be5PcIog775fbc8ucIlW/EcSi6mkpq4i09146sUo/SSnYXWzHfjW9RqoFDscKdPYzIl1cRkImJJi3a3zcYrC7Cqoikbq9bcPzFfmeLj8n3S/ryvlvWpXUaigyFrshSh4Xo/eAXzI0Nv8q4rwrwQ0djJqQ24qtM6FOL0O6UXiFGoGRxj3+pxrOu1hQ9C1kGDa8i9+RDAA34XSP6LPjGOwG69srn+vUxX/wSCI|tkp:Bk9SR_j7hJ-OYQ
Comments: I do not feel qualified to have this removed. Thanks !
The bag is indeed fake. The wallet doesn't show enough pictures to authenticate but it doesn't show red flags.

ETA: Clearly, this isn't truthful as stated in the listing!
"All my Designer items are (100% guaranteed) to be (Authentic)."

It IS FAKE. The removal was deserved.

AUTHENTICATE BEFORE you list or buy, NOT AFTER.

I don't know where you got your "information" that D2J- is a 1970s serial number, but you're MILES off the mark. Don't try to sell Coach products unless you're willing to learn about them. There are literally tens of thousands of Coach fakes in circulation and that's probably a very low estimate.

Every single photo except maybe one shows at LEAST one mistake that proves the bag to be fake. Even the style itself is fake!

Take it back to Goodwill, they sold you a piece of JUNK. Just like they've done to thousands of others. Which Goodwill store was it?

The bag was correctly removed.

It's fake and there's nothing right about it. The style isn't a Coach style.

If it were authentic, with that serial prefix, it would mean it was made in 2002. Coach didn't even make signature bags until 2000.

Although Goodwill claims ignorance when it comes to fakes, they are bound by the same laws regarding counterfeit items that anyone else is.

All stores, yard salers and online sellers are supposed to KNOW that items are authentic. If they don't know, they're supposed to find out and if authenticity can't be determined or if items are determined to be fake, it's illegal to sell them. Items aren't supposed to be listed or sold anywhere unless and until authenticity is proven.

My advice to any seller who isn't skilled in authenticating and who buys items from any store or person who is not an authorized distributor (i.e., department store, Coach outlet, etc.) is to verify authenticity before listing. Do it both for your own peace of mind, for your reputation as a seller and for the health of your account.

Got it!

At first I was worried that it was a Liquid Gloss fabric, which is PVC vinyl and not leather. But good news, it was listed at Coach.com and is a genuine Poppy Quilted Leather Shopper from June 14, 2012, style 19857.
