Buyer filed a return case with these remarks:

Info from the buyer:
Reason: It's counterfeit or fake
Comments: There are so many things wrong with this shipment, first the purse has a circle next to the authenticity tag which means its not real. Second you used an Ebay box and turned it upside down , that is against ebay policy and then used priority 2 day mail and charged me expedited shipping charges. This tiny and I mean tiny purse would have cost 5.95 the most, I have been doing this for years as well. You cant even use a usps free postal box and turn it around to get a cheaper rate. I am asking for a full refund and I will pay for the return.

Is there a professional way I can reply? I don't have any problem with her returning nor paying for return shipping. I do have a problem with everything else.

Blatantly calling my purse counterfeit or fake and saying proof is because of the bulls eye mark!!!

The purses measurements were listed in the information and "small" was in the title.

I checked with my local post office (before shipping) and they have no problem with me recycling boxes nor turning them inside out. Buyer selected shipping (both economy and priority were offered). Her shipping was $8.26 - flat rate would have been $12.65. I use a USPS spring scale and eBay figures shipping from weight and zip code. I don't make a dime off shipping and I don't charge any handling fees.

That number's been used for a LONG time in fakes. It's mentioned in the "Almost always fake" part of my Fakes List here at tPF, and I think Daria48 has it on her list at Ebay too:

http://forum.purseblog.com/showpost.php?p=26447783&postcount=1078

"Coach items with these numbers are ALMOST ALWAYS COUNTERFEIT

and need to be looked at by an expert:..

...-40725 has been showing up in fake bags and Swingpacks"

EDITED to add - According to other listings on Ebay, 40725 is the Legacy Signature Swingpack, not the leather one. This one still has the price tag:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NWT-COACH-6...946?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3ce173abaa

ETAA - there are a TON of bad fake 40725s in Completeds - please be sure NOT to report the genuine Signature ones!

http://www.ebay.com/sch/Clothing-Sh...gn=-1&saslc=1&_salic=1&_sop=12&_dmd=1&_ipg=50

The other fakes sellers along with " member57304 " are:

emoiadi

patd205

cfen7599

hodon29

caplady13

jeromejeune7724

BTW, If you're actually looking for the all-leather version, that's probably 40712:

Thank you for the detailed reply and sorry about mixup when referring to the style numbers, I actually have BOTH 40712 and 40725 in my saved searches, I just got mixed up when I replied and said "leather legacy swing pack" when referring to the style # for the signature swing pack....

OMG! This buyer seems like a nightmare!!

Her concerns and my comments:

Buyer: It's counterfeit or fake
My comment: No, it's not. It's absolutely authentic!

Buyer: first the purse has a circle next to the authenticity tag which means its not real.
My comment: No, it this case, the bullet means that the bag was made for the boutique/full priced store but was sold at the outlet. Any Coach bag, whether boutique style or MFF (made for factory) is authentic.

Buyer: Second you used an Ebay box and turned it upside down , that is against ebay policy and then used priority 2 day mail and charged me expedited shipping charges.
My comment: USPS boxes with ebay markings are priority mail and that's precisely what they're supposed to be used for. Priority mail IS expedited mail. (Parcel select/previously parcel post is "standard" mail.)

Buyer: This tiny and I mean tiny purse would have cost 5.95 the most,
My comment
: Yes, it's a rather small purse but I assume measurements were in the listing and it's up to the buyer to understand those measurements and whether the bag will work for her. As for "cost," original price was (I believe) $198. But even if she paid $500 for it, the buyer is the one who decides whether to buy the item at the price offered by the seller. Don't like the price? Find another seller!

My only comment about boxes and shipping is that if you turned a priority flat rate box inside out to ship by regular priority mail, that's not allowed by the post office. They have various other free boxes (non-flat rate) that are intended to be used for non-flat rate shipping.

please refer your buyer here to read my response.

Buyer: I have been doing this for years as well.
My comment: I don't know what she's been doing for years but it's not studying or selling Coach!

Please post this buyer's ID so I can add it to my BBL.

BTW, for $7.50, the buyer (or you) can get a professional authentication from Authenticate4u if it's reassurance of authenticity that she really cares about.

However, my guess is that this is buyer's remorse; the bag is too small for her but she doesn't want to admit she made a mistake.

ETA: Although we aren't supposed to comment on price, IMO, she got a great deal for $34.95 for a bag that doesn't appear to have been used!

Another thing is that you have a 14-day return policy. She can just return it for any reason! (Even if her dog doesn't like the taste, it's returnable!) Why lie about authenticity?

Ugh! I'm so sorry you got dealt this blow.

Refer her to this:

Dear confused and/or inexperienced and extremely incorrect buyer:
The circle-in-a-circle or bulleseye mark has been used by the Coach outlets since around 1990 to mark a bag that had been sent to the outlets from the full-price store. It was also used in some styles that were made especially for the outlets, and for bags that had some kind of production or stamping mistake and went directly to the Factory stores. Every example of this style number that I've made a note of has an outlet mark, BTW.

Wherever or from whoever you heard or read or imagined that it proved a Coach was fake was wrong, stupid or smoking dope. How can ANYONE who has ANY experience with Coach products not know what an outlet mark is?

The Girlie line was just discussed here on tPF 5 or 6 days ago - reads these and at least TRY to learn something:
http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-889527-476.html#post28718661
and
http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-889527-477.html#post28718886

As for the measurements, the seller says they were in the auction listing . If you don't own a ruler, I suggest you buy one.

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

JaNan16, it sounds to me like buyer's remorse or a buyer trying to pressure you for a full or partial refund. There's NOTHING wrong with your bag or your listing.

And any further information you can give that would help us update our BBLs is always appreciated.

pLEEEEZZZ either post here or send to me via messages -
I need this buyer's ID so I can block her.
Most of us have been in your position and it is a horror.
Thank you!
PS - You've already gotten great responses from the mods,
but just wanted to say that you can let her know that the shipping
prices were posted in the listing for her to see ahead of time,
if she disagreed with them she need not have purchased.
I hate when buyers do that~!
SO SORRY this happened to you!

Thank you BeenBurned, Hyacinth, and theCollector629. I appreciate the support.

eBay ID is llally2012 - she buys and sells on eBay too, and has a Coach listed with a bulls eye! No contact to me whatsoever about any of this. It shows I have the no problems money back guarantee and I always pay the return shipping too. Oh well. I just hate the slams on my Seller Dashboard.

I have cooled off a quite a bit now thanks to you guys. It's always better for me to do that than jump right into a response. I just try so hard and it is so frustrating to have this happen. One of the options on the return detail is send a message to the buyer. I always try to reply through eBay so they can see what I have done. Do any of you know if I can send links that way or would I have to send it through email? I'll send her links to all of it if I can. I tried to send my email to someone once through the eBay message system though and it kicked it back. I don't know if it will do that with links or not.

Well, methinks llally2012 definitely needs to visit TPF because not only does she wrongly accuse YOU of selling a fake when the bag is authentic, but she sold this fake:

The listing for the fake Scribble has vanished, I hope it was reported and removed. :graucho:

llally2012 is definitely a seller we need to keep an eye on since she obviously couldn't recognise a fake Coach if it flew up her nose.

Thank you!

Both are ok. The second one is from a small line called Greenwich, and we don't have names for most of them since they were only made for a very short time and so far I haven't found them in any catalog. So we can probably just call it a Greenwich Tote.
