I just saw a fakes one in the fakes thread so I’m leery. THANK YOU for your help.
It's fake. (I don't know whether it's the same seller but I reported a fake in the same style and color just a few days ago when it was listed on ebay. I don't recall whether the pictures were the same.)

Hi all! Could you kindly help me determine if this bag is legit? I purchased this from thredup along with 4 others. At this point I believe at least 3 are fake, one is real, and I feel fairly certain this is a fake but thredup insists their “experts” have authenticated all the bags and this one is indeed real. it feels like real leather. The pattern, from research, is supposed to be the “optic” signature pattern. The quality feels ok.

red flags: there is no exterior branding of COACH with the exception of the small stamp on the metal clasp.

the metal looks like it has chipped plating.

the interior is drastically darker than the exterior, not a complimentary lighter color.

and most alarming is when I sent this number to Coach on the creed, they said it was to a “vintage satchel”, circa 1970.This bag is neither a satchel, nor could it be from the 70’s as it says on the creed made in China…right??

Thank you for your thoughts!

Although there are a lot of fakes on Thredup and their "authenticators" have made mistakes, this bag is authentic. It was made in 2006 and I call it a clip hobo. I don't know what the "official" name is for the style.

For future requests, be sure to include the seller ID and the link to the listing for each request. (See the highlighted post at the top of each page for the required info.)

Comments: Dear authenticators, may I have your opinion about this one? It's a 'Coach' bag coming with a coach tag but no one creed. Thank you!

Please wait for other opinions.

I don't recommend the bag or the seller

On the bag you've asked about, the ends of the strap look odd and it should have a creed. It's possible that if it were a fake, the interior pocket (with creed) could have been removed, but if the purpose of removing a pocket with a creed was to sell a generic bag, it shouldn't include a "Coach" hangtag and shouldn't be sold as "Coach."

(Another possibility is that the creed is stamped inside the outer pocket.)

This is another listing (lot listing) from the seller. The "Coach" bag is fake and the creed, though not showing the serial number, appears to say "This is Coach eyewear" in the first line.

Thank you so much!! I’ll be back later to post the others. I would have listed the seller but this was a thredup rescue box, in which you pay $100 and receive a random assortment of 5 bags.

your time is very appreciated! Thank you!!
