Hi, authenticators, could you take a look at the following and let me know if they are authentic?
1) listed on eBay by all*sortz*of*stuff
Coach Vintage Willis 9927 Mahogany Brown Leather Xlt
Serial number is H6C-9927
I searched for both the serial number and compared it to these photos - found one with the exact serial number here that was authentic and one for sale elsewhere that looked like the photos of this one, so it seems ok. But I searched for the seller here and found that the seller had offered up a fake to another forum member a few years back.

2) From Goodwill, H9C-9816

Looks good to me but you folks are the experts!
Thank you,
Lucy

Both bags are authentic.

I am curious how you know this one is fake. Thanks so much for your wonderful knowledge!
There are problems with the creed and serial number, inconsistencies between when and where made based on the creed text vs. what the serial number shows.

There are probably other obvious and not-so-obvious problems but the creed is the first thing I look at.

Hi would you please authenticate this bag I purchased at the auction? It's about 10.5 x 9 x 3
Thanks

Could you please help me authenticate this Coach? It measures approximately 8 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 7 1/2". Thank you in advance. View attachment 5356792View attachment 5356793View attachment 5356794

It;s a genuine Ergo Mini Zip from 1998, but your measurements are a bit larger than the ones in the catalog. The trouble is that we're never sure exactly HOW Coach is measuring their bags. The Spring 1998 book lists style 9020 as 9 1/2 by 7 by 1 3/4 inches with a 21-inch strap.
