The Whitney is fine. The Scooter is authentic but has been modified. The seller mentioned the strap isn't original. It should have a sewn on tubular strap. The rings and side tabs were not done by Coach.

A thrift store acquisition.. It looks good to me but I thought let's consult the experts. It's a studded satchell, really cool woven strap. Size is about 15" long and 9" tall. Across the bottom, about 5". Thanks!!

It looks good. I don't have a name.

Hello authenticators!
Is this saddle pouch authentic? I can't seem to find the style number.
Thank you

It's authentic. It's probably saddle pouch medium #9590.

Thank you. Based on the crees photo, Do you know anything else about it? I’m noticing a lot of the ones I’ve seen don’t have the style number #9590.
Is it older?
I don't remember ever seeing a saddle pouch with a style number in the creed. They didn't start using style numbers in creeds until 1994 and I think they stopped making the style a long time before that. My records show it was made at least from 1978 - 1986. Anything with a NYC creed is going to have a creed with a random number.

That is so interesting. The more I learn, the more I like my bags. Thank you for sharing your wealth of information. I love reading all the posts with bits of history.

There was apparently at least one rare exception to Saddle Pouches never having style numbers in their serial numbers. The Holiday Preview 1995 Part 1 catalog, post 133 in that thread under "Limited Editions", shows a remake of the 9590 Saddle Pouch. It's not in the scanned versions some of us bought on the internet, this catalog is one of the ones that @Lake Effect posted. (I'm not sure if the link is working correctly, check that forum page for post 133, it's the sixth photo in that post).

There's a good chance that many of the 1980s and early 1990s handbag styles were re-introduced some time in the 1990s or early 2000s, usually as Limited Editions or "catalog exclusives". But I agree with @whateve, at least 99.5 percent of the ones that were made would probably have a pre-style-number serial and a Made in New York City creed. Other than that remake, all 3 sizes seem to have been discontinued shortly before Coach changed "Made in New York City" to "Made in the United States" or "Made In U.S.A." starting in early 1988.
