Good afternoon,

I found this brand new Coach bag with tags at the thrift store for $7, and I was very excited to get such a score! But when I started doing research on it, I couldn't find this bag anywhere. When I did a search for the bar code on the tag, it showed a different bag. This tote came with a little wallet in a Coach dust bag, and both the purse and smaller bag have Coach labels inside. Any idea if it's real?

I'm sorry, everything is fake. Take it back. It is illegal to sell fakes. They should give you a refund.

Is this it?

Genuine, probably from the mid-1990s

My spidey sense says: not real Coach. What say you? https://www.ebay.com/itm/185046645844 Seller: poo_gal. I do like the look of the bag, though. Searching google images for serial number M3U-8B30, I see examples that have suede and beaded straps. The font on the creed logo looks "off." Thank you for your expertise!

Sorry, it's fake. There are problems with the serial number, the creed patch itself, and most obviously, the C pattern. One look at the pattern should be a major red flag. The fur is wrong, the hangtag is fake, and unless my eyes deceive me, the genuine 8B30 is leather, not fabric.

Also those vertical "stripes" down the front should have rows of tiny glass beads if it was genuine, which by themselves were a major problem because they broke very easily. I would never recommend buying even a genuine version of that style just for that reason alone.

There's NOTHING right about that fake.8b30_LG-d1.jpg
