  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.

  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

Seller IDs are required for all items that were purchased online. It's helpful both for finding sellers who might have listed fakes in the past, but it's also useful to see if the seller has a positive history here.

Additionally, it helps in searches of the seller ID because a seller's item may have been authenticated but if the listing ended, you can see if the same item from the same seller was relisted.

AFAIK, there isn't a negative history on the seller. There have been several requests and it looks like all items were found to be genuine.
The color is probably Taupe.

Thank you.

Dear Authenticators,
I am not only new to the purse forum, but I'm also new to Coach bags. I found this one at the local Goodwill and wanted to make sure that it was genuine.
Thanks!

Welcome to tPF, and Congratulations! That was a highly-faked style and the style number -6094 has appeared in hundreds of fakes, but you got lucky and found one of the real ones. It's a genuine Signature Demi Pouch made in 2005.

Good afternoon Authenticators! Would you mind looking at this bag please? This is it for a long time! But I finally found (hopefully) my blue Stewardess!

Item: Stewardess
Seller: tony7772001
Site:Ebay
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1749336928...P7roRxz4Nk%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc

Comments: I asked for a picture of the the under side of the front flap (where the pouch should be) and the seller has not sent that yet. In the interim, is it possible to get an authentication?

It's authentic.

Not only is the seller almost a decade off on the alleged time of manufacture, she also hasn't bothered to authenticate the bag.

The year code "8", IF genuine, would indicate a 1998 manufacture date. But since the bag is fake, there's no telling when it was made, or where. Certainly not in the US as it states in the body of the creed. And certainly not in Italy, which is what it states in the production codes.

The fake itself is surprisingly accurate and is probably the closest fake I've seen of that style. However, the seller comes up short. Not only did she list a fake and not bother to research Coach's production codes, but the first photo in the listing, the "model" photo, isn't even the same bag OR style! It looks like a Court Bag, not a Colebrook Case.

Hyacinth, thanks very much for helping me dodge that bullet. Thanks also for the detailed explanation. I wonder what % of “Coach” items on poshmark are the real deal… I suppose it would depend on the model, etc (higher-demand models = higher % of fakes).

On the bright side, it’s nice to know I have good taste in fakes. Ha!
