Hi All, unfortunately purchased this before I found this thread/forum.

I'd like to have this bag authenticated, the creed is non-standard from what I can tell, but my research showed that every model of this bag seemed to have this creed.

I also have 2 follow up questions: Is there a consensus on the Chinese plant leather/build quality pre-2000 vs. a US bag? And is there an archive of catalogs somewhere I could look at? I was able to see the online catalog from 1997 in the wayback machine but that's as far back as it goes.

Item: 1997 Organizer Brief?
Seller: shopmac1
Site: Poshmark

There are still differences of opinion on the leather quality.

We just started a thread for vintage Coach catalogs at the Reference sub-forum at the main Coach forum but there are just a few that have been posted so far. It's a time-consuming process, and older catalogs are scarce.

The Organizer Brief is genuine, made in 1997

Thank you kindly! Do you have any opinion/knowledge on the US vs China question? I saw a thread a while back of people discussing Costa Rica vs US but that was all.

Thanks Hyacinth. I've been reading some previous posts and find it interesting that M could have meant different locations/plants in some years. Have a great day.

Several other plant codes were also "floaters" which is one reason why we've never posted any kind of master list of Coach plant codes. It would just lead to more confusion, and a plant code can't prove a Coach is authentic although sometimes the wrong plant code can go a long way toward proving that a bag is fake.

Strictly my personal opinion, but I prefer the older leather, Costa Rica, Italy and the US are at the top of my list. I have several of the China-made bags but bought them because they were available in colors that weren't available anywhere else or at any other time.

BTW, the creed in the Organizer isn't really "non-standard", it just describes the type of lightweight leather being used.

Hi, please may I have your thoughts on this one?

It's got a novelty strap, but should it have another strap that came with it? Or it's a tote?

Also, what is the style name and colour please?

Thank you very much for your expertise, it's much appreciated.
I'm not comfortable recommending the seller (and as such, her items). Her responses to feedback (seemingly deserved) blame and name-call the buyers. She seems extremely unprofessional.

Good morning,
Could you please authenticate this bucket bag purchased from eBay, It seemed ok to me with the knowing common err of creed number, but want to be sure it is authentic otherwise not worth the trouble of repairing. Thanks

seller: Lizziebru
ETA: actually bag is Sheridan Newberry Drawstring, not daypack as shown in the small photo, but link is correct.
And that's precisely why we want seller ID, item number and a link to the listing in posts. We want to make sure we're looking at the intended item!

Thank you Ebay for the confusion! NOT!

Hello, hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday!

If you can, I would greatly appreciate any guidance in authenticating this Regina bag.

It's an authentic Regina and I think it's showing as 1999.

I'm not sure why there appears to be a loose D-ring attached to the strap in picture #6. You might want to verify with the seller that there's a ring to attach both ends of the long strap.

ETA: The seller corbibunne0 sold this fake:

BeenBurned thank you so much!!!

I just received the bag along with 3 different straps. Both d-rings are secure and the original strap is included. It looks like they just couldn't recall which strap belonged to the bag and were changing and putting several different ones. Somehow an extra d ring got into the mix. :giggle:

Hi BeenBurned - thank you for your comment, and for taking the time to investigate, it's very much appreciated. I've come to the same conclusion; I've written to ask about the missing thin strap but received no response yet and, like you, feel that the tone of the responses she's given to feedback is lacking courtesy and professionalism. I'll swerve past this one! Thank you again!
