ANY Coach bag can be faked, or just about any other brand as well. Just because we may not have seen examples yet doesn't mean it can't happen, or hasn't already happened.

ETA - As an example of the dangers of sellers claiming knowledge that they don't actually have, Lorac2015 claims in the listing title that the bag is from the 1970s, but the Summer 1988 catalog clearly lists that style as "NEW" which indicates a Spring or Summer 1988 introduction so maybe she might want to be more careful.

I personally won't authenticate items from that seller, so please wait for an authenticator who does.

Please also note the additional information I posted.
Thank you. I see the additional information. I'd like to think she made an honest mistake on the one reported as fake and details on this but...... I am not sure. If I am unable to get confirmation that it is authentic, that detail could be helpful. Buyer beware. Next time I will ask first.
Curious. Is it less common for Made in NYC bags to be faked?

Hi Authenticators. I'm going to buy my first coach vintage bag. Hope you can let me know if the item below is authentic.
Thank you.

Item: Vintage Coach Weston Tote Shopper Bag in Black
Seller and site where listed: wena120 in Carousell philippines
Link: Carousell Link Here
Comments: Is it in a fairly good condition? I'm also looking at a willis listing, still waiting for the additional pictures.

Grateful if this duffle/bucket bag could be authenticated. If it's possible to know around when in the 2000s it was released, that would be most appreciated too! It looks like a cool unisex design that Coach is lately usually marketing. Sadly, the bag seems to suffer from stitching coming easily undone.

If authentic, it would have been approximately 2014-2016, a period during which Coach used oddball "serial numbers" on creeds which had a 2-letter prefix indicating an abbreviation of the style (RG for rogue, SD for saddle, DF for duffle and others) and there would be a small white tag buried somewhere inside the bag with 2 rows of letter/number production info, resembling a "serial number."

It's important to note that the 1941 collection bags were and are closely faked so it's important for sellers to include all necessary pictures in order for the bags to be proven authentic.

As the listing stands, it can't authenticated because it's missing the picture of the white label. (This photo requirement is also listed in the post at the top of each page of the thread.)

Would love an opinion on this one! My moms friend gave this to me, she thrifted it years ago. I’ve never had a pre creed bag so this is exciting (if real). It measures approximately 9x10x3”, in the middle where it’s shorter the height is 8”. Would this be Bonnie Cashin era or a Cashin style? Still learning, I’m so addicted haha. TIA for your time!!

Please don't take it personally @emilylia because it's not you. I don't authenticate that seller either.

If you search the seller's ID and history, you'll see that it's not just 1 fake that upsets us but rather, her previous posting history here, her alleged participation in several private facebook and social media groups that take great pride and joy in attacking TPF and its members and her association with other people who take even greater happiness in denigrating us.

In fact, this is a post from just a week ago about a fake she has listed. Although it's known that they read TPF and comment on what is posted (among their private groupies), the fake is still listed, potentially waiting for a buyer to be ripped off by the $165 fake.

The following makes for some interesting reading:
