Before I scrolled down and looked at your comparison pictures, I pulled out mine and the first thing I noticed is that the oval is the wrong shape, or is it that the lozenge is too small? Now that I look at it closer, I see the edge at the bottom isn't very even. I agree, they are fake. I was watching those too, but since I wasn't considering buying them I didn't look very close.

ETA: BTW, this style has a Coach lozenge on the back even though it is on the front.
ETA2: Is it my imagination but don't the fakes look wider than the real one?
Another thing I noticed is that the "hole" for the buckle is tight and kind of raw edged on the fake, and on the authentic one the hole is more finished and a little larger. You know how some holes you almost have to force the little piece through?
What do you call those parts anyway lol?

I just googled it. The metal part is called a prong if it doesn't move and a tongue if it is movable. Three different sources called the holes either holes, notches, or eyelets. There wasn't a head-on picture of the holes on the fake so it is hard to tell, but they look smaller. The hole on the authentic one shown in BBs post looks a little larger than it really is because of the angle and because part of the prong is the same color as the hole. You can see the rounded edges of it. I think the fake holes looked more square. I bet if you saw the fake IRL it would be easier to spot it as being fake.

By the way, they removed the listing.

Hello,
Can you please authenticate? Do you know the name of this wallet?

Name: Coach brown leather stripe zippy wallet
Seller: brandnet271838
ID: 271877568701
Link: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=271877568701

Thank you for your time.
I'm not familiar with the style so I can't authenticate. It is pretty hard to authenticate items we've never seen, unless there are obvious errors. I will comment that it wouldn't have been called a zippy wallet. Coach calls this style an accordion zip.

ETA: I just looked at the pictures in the body of the listing. I don't like the logo. I don't recommend this wallet.

Thank you, Whateve, i will stay away.

Good morning people,

Can someone please take a look at this one?

Seller = suzieq88813

Legacy zip

The bag in the listing is authentic. This style was counterfeited a lot so you should always get them authenticated.

You should read the seller's feedback to determine if you want to do business with her. There are an awful lot of negatives and neutrals, most for not accurately describing the item.

I have this bag in red and black (both authenticated) that I love. The leather is lovely. I also almost bought a blue one that was fake. I'd love to have a green one, but after reading the feedback I think I'll pass. Thanks so much for your help. I hope you are enjoying the weekend!

Yikes, did you see someone bought a monogrammed LV tote for $800.00. They must have been blind not to see it! Especially considering it ruined the bag.

Yep, I don't understand that either. How can you buy an $800 bag and NOT look over the photos with a magnifying glass? WTH did she think the letters "JE" were doing on the front of an LV??? Or did she think JE was the French abbreviation for "Special Edition"?

The seller's descriptions definitely aren't to be trusted, but I think the Coach Swingpack she got a Neutral for was genuine. I would never buy from her though.
Speaking of descriptions that shouldn't be trusted, this description states that the serial number is J0G-9927. It's definitely NOT a Willis although she doesn't show the creed (if there is one.) I don't know whether she made an error in the listing or if that's actually on a creed on that item.

And she also sold this fake.

Here's the creed from her fake Sabrina style wannabe:

I definitely DO NOT recommend suzieq88813.

ETA: I just found this one in her completed listings. Clearly, suzieq88813 doesn't authenticate prior to listing.

The wallet appears to look like men's heritage stripe collection. Here is a smaller authentic version: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NWT-COACH-B...116?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cfa5d8ab4

I'm getting all kinds of bad feelings about that one. Not just because the top flap seems like it's upside down, but because I don't ever remember seeing a wallet with a buckle on the front without any grommets on the strap holes. Can I ask where you got the wallet?

Wait for more opinions since my memeory isn't even close to perfect nowadays, and I'll keep looking through my files.

ETA - CORRECTION. Good thing I checked, and I should always remember that Coach breaks their own rules. That line (Sohos from around 2008-2009), a few Legacy Leather wallets, and a few Bleeker line and Garcia leather wallets mostly with style numbers between 41500 and 42100 all from around that time are the only ones in my files (not including any recent styles though) that didn't use grommets on their buckled straps. The Sohos might still be the only small line where the strap and buckle were "upside down" though.

Style number 42046, Soho Leather Checkbook Wallet:

I found while thrifting. It cost close to nothing. I know what you mean about the grommets.

It wasn't sold, just removed. Maybe you can contact the seller. These get listed fairly often so it should be easy to find another one. This is my favorite Bleecker color. I searched for a long time to find a large flap at a decent price. Just when I was about to give up and bite the bullet on an expensive one, someone listed another one for a decent price! Not every seller is going to use the correct color name. Some will call it whiskey.

No, that wasn't it, but I contacted her and she relisted it, so I got it this morning. Thanks!
