It's authentic, but not vintage. It was made in 2005.

It shouldn't have been removed. It's authentic.

Would you please copy the message you received that states the reason for the removal? (You can remove or redact any personal information.)

Sometimes there are other "issues" stated in the takedown message that give a clue to the reason for removal including but not limited to the number of pictures, detail of pictures, lack of description and lack of seller history.

ETA: I found your listing, a completed listing for the same item (that was removed after being relisted) and I have no idea why it was removed.

Thanks so much BB (my initials btw :) ) for taking the time and easing my mind about the authenticity. Below is the msg I got.
I did see at least 2 of the same items listed, one that showed the tag, one that did not and the one that did had a different serial # (I think theirs started with an H). They were doth priced $10-$15 more than mine and I was thinking that maybe competition reported it? I don't know, I'll donate it if I can't list it, it just upset me so much that this was thought to be a fake. Thanks again for your help and letting me rant!

eBay

Your listing was removed: Counterfeit item policy

Hello bxxxxxxxx,
We had to remove your listing because it didn’t follow our Counterfeit item policy. We don’t allow counterfeit items, replicas, or unauthorized copies.
What activity didn't follow the policy
- Limited selling history
What you need to do next
Items removed for this policy cannot be relisted. Please ensure that your future listings are for authentic items only. For these items, they should be described accurately and completely, so buyers know that it is an authentic item.
What is the policy
- Counterfeit products are illegal and not allowed on eBay. Examples include:
-- Fakes, copies or replicas of brand name items (for example, a shoe with the Nike name or logo that wasn’t made by Nike)
-- Electronics or accessories that use or bear the brand name, logo or trademark of a company that didn’t manufacture the item
-- Bootleg recordings from concerts or other live shows
-- Unauthorized or pirated copies of movies, videos or software
- Listings with photos that hide or blur trademarks are not allowed
- If you’re not certain that your item is authentic, or if an authenticator has been unable to confirm its authenticity, it may not be listed
- We may remove listings if we receive buyer complaints that the item is not authentic. These items may not be relisted
How this affects your account
Because you may not have been aware of this policy, we're sending this notice to educate you about it and ask that you follow this policy in the future.

- Listings that didn't follow this policy have been ended.
- We have credited all associated fees except for payments processing fees and the final value fee for your listing(s).

Listings that don't follow this policy in the future will be ended.
Why we have this policy

This policy prevents the sale of counterfeit items, which are illegal, and could expose sellers to legal risk. Removing them protects sellers and their buyers from buyer protection claims and financial loss.

I'm so sorry this happened. If the item were fake, I never recommend donating as that continues the cycle of fakes being bought and resold by unknowing (or uncaring) stores and sellers but for genuine items, it's not an issue. Another option is to gift it to someone since it's in great condition.

There are cases where I (or we) might advise investing in a professional authentication to submit in an appeal to ebay but in this case, even the lowest priced company's documentation (about $7.50) wouldn't be cost effective, IMO.

Although a lot of sellers whose listings are removed tend to believe a competitor with same/similar items reported, that's not my conclusion. While I don't deny that there are likely some sellers who do it, I'm more likely to believe it's ebay's bots that pick up something in listings and remove them.

I know I shouldn't be chatting on this thread (sorry admins!) but I want to thank you for the insight and the info. Never thought about the repercussions donating fakes and that's a great point. I despise fakes and even more so the people who knowingly pass them off as authentic. I agree, totally not worth it, that's half of what I'd get on ebay anyway
Alas, I wish I knew someone who could use one or three - no one seems to use them anymore - mobile phones are just too big lol.

No chatting on the Authenticate thread? I think you're confusing us with someplace else! Have you READ some of these posts? There's a pretty wide variety of subjects covered and as long as it doesn't carry on too long or get too off-the-wall, no one really minds as long as authentications are done quickly and accurately.

Threads that don't allow any chatting will say NO CHAT right in the title. ALWAYS read the first post in any busy thread for additional requirements or restrictions too although not every thread has them. Every forum and sub-forum can have different Rules, especially the various brands' authentication forums. If you DO forget, and do any chatting or made additional comments in a No Chat thread, your post will probably just vanish into its component electrons.

Hi. I'm looking for help authenticating this bag. Please forgive me if I post incorrectly. It's been many years since I've been active on here.
I've had this Denim Indigo Patchwork Top Handle Pouch for a long time and honestly can't remember where I purchased it. I was taking photos in preparation for selling it when I noticed the creed has no numbers. It looks and feels genuine, with the possible exception of the stitching on the handle looking a bit different.16D85FE3-A88E-4932-BB2D-A18AB67562FF.jpeg144247A0-6CD2-47B3-8A41-00B8DF75313C.jpegF77FC9A9-2D0B-41CA-97DD-5613E11AA265.jpeg704A6605-7D0E-407A-B015-53A691C175F0.jpeg048406ED-386A-4BAB-9228-81A434C40FD4.jpegFDB246A3-16F1-4EEF-90FE-1BF902DC52F1.jpegE82D6B67-97AC-45AA-B286-0D036A57E1BB.jpeg610DAB16-E2DA-448D-BB5D-A260B50E17DE.jpeg2121B77A-447C-4E62-9DF4-16DC8B039436.jpegC6EA1622-E87F-4B20-AECA-077574D074BE.jpeg93DFDA1E-2F17-4084-B232-3269AB6BA703.jpegF7DF8A08-B5E8-415A-A06D-E2B072BFC4A5.jpeg
