It's not from the US as the seller states in the listing. Other than it being cowhide, we have no real details on the leathers used in bags made in China.

I can't answer about the color, sorry. It looks like a darker red to me but I never trust colors shown in photos, too many things can affect how they show up.

It's genuine, early to mid-1980s. I can't give you a style name without measurements.

That;s usually not a problem when it's just links. What can cause major confusion is when someone posts photos from more than one listing in the same thread without separating them with a line or two of text and information. A bunch of photos with nothing separating the individual items can get scrambled up very easily, especially when they're all similar colors.

It's FAKE, don't buy and don't pay.

There are serious problems with the serial number and the hardware.

I have absolutely NO idea what "game coach" is supposed to mean ("globe leather" is probably trying to be "glove leather"), but the seller already has shaky Feedback and trying to sell a fake like this just adds to it. More solid proof, as if any more were needed, that sellers located in Japan can no longer be trusted like they usually were in the past.

ALL bags with J8Y- prefixes are fake, no exceptions. The Y plant code was never used for any USA handbag plant, and wasn't used at all until around 2006 when it was assigned to a plant in China making only travel items.

That fake was just posted in the Coach Hall Of Shame thread yesterday:

I was very certain about the J8Y, but didn't want to jump the gun before getting an absolute confirmation. Sadly, that's a lot of money for an unsuspecting buyer to spend on a useless POS bag. Will report & hope it gets removed. As always, thanks for your time & knowledge!
