It looks good, probably from the early to middle 1980s

Thank you so much Hyacinth for your time and knowledge and catalogue pages!!! I appreciate it!!!
ETA just wondering...does it seem to be more fakes in lighter colours? Not just this key chain coin purse but overall in all other vintage Coach?

Fakes of any colors that Coach didn't use often or sometimes didn't use at all are VERY common. Any unusual, hard to find or previously unknown colors on vintage leather Coaches really need close and careful examination. Various shades of pastel to bright colors like greens or oranges were often used on fakes, but they all need to be authenticated here. Too often someone jumps on an unusual color without taking time to authenticate it and doesn't find out it's counterfeit until it's too late to return it.

Except for genuine Cashin bags, Coach used very few brights and pastels until the mid-1990s and that's also when counterfeiters started making light- and bright-colored fakes because they sold so well. Hot Pink was another popular color for fakes in the late 1990s, years before Coach moved production to China and actually started making a few bags in bright pink leathers, but every color imaginable has shown up on fake Coaches.

Here's just one example, a fake Hot Pink Legacy Small Flap with a 1995 serial and an invalid plant code "S". The real style 9965 wasn't even introduced until early 1997. I've also seen a fake Hot Pink Patricia's Legacy, among others.

ETA - one unfortunate side effect of those fakes is that there have been quite a few reports over the last 20 years of high and even dangerous levels of toxins such as cadmium, arsenic and others found in generic bright-colored bags made in China, especially in bright colors like orange, yellow and red. They're very likely in fakes too but so far the Feds haven't tested counterfeit bags. So not only are the fakes illegal, but some can actually be dangerous.

(Counterfeit metal and enameled keychains often have very high toxin levels too, especially lead, but that's a whole 'nother subject.)

It looks good. It looks like it could be this PDA case from around 2002.

Hello authenticators - please may I ask for your expertise on this one?

Item: Coach Cross Body Bag
Item No: 264972138874
Seller: gabri8272 - eBay.
Link: 264972138874

I've also added some more photos as the creed patch number is all zeros which I'm not sure about......
There's a large white tag in the inside pocket with a bar code but it's impossible to turn the pocket inside out as it's so small.
I've received the bag and it's well made but I would very much appreciate your thoughts!

Thank you very much indeed.

Giving this a BUMP so our experts on newer styles can take a look, but I don't think a serial number that's ALL zeros is a good sign. And I've never seen a Coach with stick-on UPC tags on the inside of the bag, but I don't shop for newer styles. That code belongs on the price tag.

Could I have assistance in authenticating this bag please, also curious what the style name is? I tried searching the number inside but it doesn't appear to be a style number

Item: Vintage Brown Coach Messenger Shoulder Bag Purse
Listing number: 203205093356
Seller and site where listed: db570276pm on eBay

It's authentic. It looks like a spectator bag, 9796, made in the late 80s.
