Dear authenticators, are you able to give me some information on why the Prairie whateve authenticated for me is fake? It didn't cost alot but still, I think I'd like to take it back. Thank you!
Do you have another Prairie to compare? The padding above the turnlock should curve and follow the shape of the turnlock. This is what a F4D creed should look like. Note the old creed wording, the font, and how "No." looks.

Aha! Yes, I have a BT to compare. Now I see. Thank you so much whateve for sharing this with me. :flowers: I love learning about these vintage Coach that I have madly fallen in love with!!!

I have that red bag and it is one of my favorites!
That's great to hear, especially coming from you @whateve ! Then I am definitely getting the red one to make it my first vintage coach drawstring bag! I am trying to work on downsizing, and probably don't need another drawstring bag, but I am quite tempted to get the tan equestrian drawstring as well...
Thank you so much for your help in authenticating the black court bag the other day! Hope you have a lovely weekend.

Genuine, but it's not vintage since it won't be 20 years old for another 12 years, and it's not a wristlet since there's no place to attach a wrist strap. It's some kind of Patchwork Clutch made in 2008 for the Madison line but the "Madison" part is just a guess. I'll see if it's in any of my catalogs.

ETA - nothing in my catalogs but I know I've seen it on their online site years ago.
Thanks @Hyacinth

There were many free items made for the Japanese market that don't have the same level of quality we normally see. I would guess this is one of those. More opinions are welcome.
A lot of those inexpensive items were free give-aways included with some Japanese fashion magazines and were never meant to be retail items. I'm pretty sure this is one of them.
Thank you both! Learned something new!

That's correct. Not only is that serial number always fake, but that style would NEVER had a serial number in an all-numeric pre-1990s format or a creed with that wording, but the word "scrtches" is misspelled. There are several other major problems with it too including the quality and construction of the bag.

Thanks Hyacinth! Will DM the seller shortly. Apparently the bag sold in less than an hour! Poor buyer!

Hi all! It's me again!
I was out and about today for the first time in awhile and I came across the vintage coach jackpot! If they're real of course. Lol
Found all at my goodwill.
It's not letting me upload them all at once so, I'll number and post them one at a time.
Here's 1.
