I still can't tell. It's possible shadows could make it look that way. I wouldn't recommend it either.

The shadows in the photo are pretty clear, the only shadow I can see on the creed panel is in the lower right corner and it's not hitting any of the serial number digits. Everything else seems fully lit.

I don't know where the seller got the name "Sutton" but it looks like a 9820 Swagger to me. Introduced around Summer 1988 and probably discontinued around 1993. Only the very early ones from early 1988 would have had Made in NYC creeds. Intro was at least 14 years after Cashin stopped designing for Coach.

Hello Authenticators, I need your help. Please
This is my own personal handbag I've had for sometime. I just posted it to sale and was ask to educate someone on it's creed because of it's wording. To be honest I never really paid any attention to it's wording because I like her always thought all Coach bags were worded in the same manner. I'm looking for the receipt now and I do believe I purchased this directly from the Coach outlet but don't quote me on this. I've had it for sometime. Out of curiosity, I did a google search and found the bag exactly like mine. I also searched eBay and found the Coach drifter in a number of sizes with the same wording on their creed as well. The only differences I found were the larger bags have a leather creed and it's embossed instead of printed. The weird thing is not all of them have this creed. Some of the larger Drifter bags have the original Coach craftmanship creed. Can you please shed some iight as to why some of these Drifters creed are worded in this manner and others or not. If this bag is a fake. I am almost certain i purchased this directly from Coach. The last picture is from an eBay seller, 1 of many whose bags also have this creed. Thank you in advance for your time.

Ugh! Of skyestudios 12 current Coach listings, 5 of them are listed as "Bonnie Cashin" and of the 23 completed Coach listings, 4 are listed as "Bonnie Cashin." NONE are Cashin era!

The bag is authentic and the creed is correct for that bag.

Over the years, Coach has used different creeds, different wording, different formats, different fonts, different serial number formatting, etc.

When comparing, it's essential that you compare apples to apples. In this case, that means comparing your Drifter style 59048 to another of the same style. (In this case, though the creeds are on bags that were made in the same month, year and plant, they are NOT the same style and really aren't a valid comparison. The comp is style 38389.)

This Tradesy listing is a valid comparison as it was made in the same year and factory. (I can't read the month code.)

I don't know who questioned you but if they're comparing the creed on your 2017 bag to a vintage bag from 1999 (or a different bag/style/era), there will be differences.
