BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

And finally, the tea. Some of my handbags were swooped from my front window the other day. Honestly, everything points to junkies that occasionally use our back dumpster area for shelter and I made the HUGE mistake of leaving the window cracked. (For air flow!?) Anyways, (I know I need to move but in the meantime) would anyone have/know of any other resources for reporting them? Did I miss the Handbag Detective thread?? I have the serial numbers documented, it was reported to the police, and my windows are sealed shut ;) I’m just glad the the doggo and I are safe!

As for the stolen bags, if they're pre-1994 and authentic, the serial numbers would be unique and can be identified as long as you gave the police the serial numbers. If the bags were 1994 or newer, it'd be more difficult to prove ownership unless there were identifying marks that you could use to prove ownership.

In the big scheme of things, the bags are just bags and can be replaced. As you're aware, the better thing is that you and the dog are okay.

The bag from Goodwill is authentic.

The wannabe Bixby from ebay seller designer*items1218 is fake.

Try contacting the seller first and see how she responds. If she's not agreeable and if she won't cover return shipping, open a SNAD dispute for not being authentic. Seller will have to cover return shipping if she wants the bag bag.

Based on your response of "awesome," I'm not sure whether you understood that I'd said that the black bag from designer*items1218 is fake. I just want to clarify that if I'd bought that bag, I wouldn't keep it.

I came across this cute bag on Vestiaire Collective and I cannot seem to find much info on this collection and style online. It's an authentic indigo denim patchwork top handle pouch. The collection which included a Carly style (10808), hobo (10809), wallets and several other items was from 2007.

I believe the style number for your pouch is 40530.

ETA: Note that the collection was highly faked, with some fairly close fakes.

It's probably okay. I would need to see the prefix of the creed to be sure. It's not vintage. According to the COA, it was made in 2012.

it's fine. What's with the weird white background? I've been seeing this on a lot of listings. The bags look like they have bites taken out of them.
