Good morning, could someone please take a look at this wool tote? I'd appreciate thoughts on authenticity as well as more info - if 4 stands for the plant number, was it ever used in the United States? It seems like all bags of this style (gray or white) have the same creed number H94-6142, which would mean it was only in production for 1 month in one plant. That makes me a bit suspicious, plus the fonts are thick and wide, which I've seen often in fake bags from late 90s - early 2000s. Thank you!

I sent an offer on this bag last night before going to bed and it was accepted this morning. Can I have it authenticated before I pay:

Thanks!

I'm not sure about that one, there are a few small details that are a tiny bit off. Can you ask the seller to take a clear photo of the part of the magnetic snap at the top of the bag that has letters and numbers stamped into it? Or else you can complete the sale and send us that photo when you receive the bag.

Bleeckers have been faked a lot and many of them are really close.

I actually already messaged the seller for clearer interior pictures as the strap in picture 6 on the left looks like it has a tear but its a bit too blurry for me to tell. She hasn’t responded. I will ask her to send me the magnetic snap picture as well. If I buy it and it turns out to be fake, Ebay won’t refund me the duties (3rd party) so Ill lose about $30 cad taking the risk. Ill tag you if she sends me the magnet picture! Thanks :)

That's probably what happened. I've seen that serial number before and they've all been in the same bone or dark gray Blanket Book Totes with that same brown plaid or tattersal lining. It was in the 1999 Holiday catalog with 5 Jack Russell Terriers on the cover so Coach probably felt obliged to produce it, especiall since there was a matching dog coat featured on the cover of that catalog. Coach probably just leased a production line at some unknown plant on a temporary basis for that production run, they were right in the middle of the move to China and that may have been the only way to make the bag. I don't see any evidence that the bag is fake

If she doesn't send the additional photos I'd recommend cancelling the sale especially if you'd lose that much money if it turns out to be fake. Please always have any of those Bleeckers authenticated before making any buying decisions.

Thank you so much, Hyacinth! Very interesting info. This bag and the others like it I've seen look well made, but the creed definitely threw me off.

You will receive a seperate refund through Global shipping Program as well. (Include import duties). But return after receiving cost seller money for postage. If seller intentionally sell fake then it is good to teach them a lesson, but some sellers just made honest mistake. It is best to have it authenciated prior to shipping.
