I'm curious about another bag listed by emspugscloset.

Vtg COACH Beige Leather Cross Body Shoulder Purse Messenger Satchel Handbag
Item number: 131481241131

It has a K5H prefix serial number that appears to be different from other K5H bags I looked at. Is it the angle?

The creed picture is a bit small. Here's a larger version:

I've seen some variations in the placement of the H like in the pics below - I think both are genuine _ with G month codes that are from both the old and new creed wordings. But all the real ones have a long dash between the halves. The H code is a bit of an oddball.

NM - looks like Whateve found more problems.

So this post is incorrect where the seller says it is from the 70s? It has the same creed as the one I bought at a thrift shop. . .
etsy.com/listing/223962544/vintage-coach-handbag-brown-leather?ref=favs_view_2
Yes, the seller on etsy is wrong. That bag was made in 1999. It says so right in the creed. Just because the bag is imprinted "Coach New York" it doesn't mean it was made in New York; that is just where the company is headquartered. The "A" factory code denotes the New York factory. It wasn't used much after 1993. That bag was made in the "D" factory.

Only a minority of sellers do enough research to post correct information.

Searched the forum and I guess I am not wording my search right.

This purse has a white 's' on the creed and I guess on the bag but I didn't see that one. Is this a mark to warn that it is a fake or something a store might do for defective product?

I just saw this on the forum, but the s is different.

The mark on the picture you posted is "FS" which stands for final sale. The S on the listing you posted isn't the same thing at all. The seller claims it is marked on the outside of the bag as well, but doesn't show where. It looks like it was done with white-out rather than a stamp. I doubt it was done by Coach. The seller doesn't show the entire creed.

Uh oh! Looks like I will have to add to my "drink" collection! Lol! Thanks for everything - I cannot tell you how much I appreciate all that you do as well as your sense of humor!

Makes you wonder how some of Coach's designers spent their lunch hours, doesn't it? ;)

GOOD EVENING ALL!
Would someone please take a look at this Spectator City Bag ?
ebay seller:lilya23val50engel
item Vintage Coach Leather Cross body Shoulder bag
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Coa...YXggwsA%2FizGjGRiaVwU%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

What concerns me is the inside zip pocket..as seen in the last photos. The zipper does not
extend the length of the pocket.,there is a one inch gap between the zip pull and the end of the pocket. The interior looks shoddy as well, there are big gaps in the dye at the edges of the interior seams....
I can send more pics tomorrow-if you need them?.This bag does not seem authentic to me,,the interior reminds me exactly of another Spectator City Bag I purchased which was NOT Authentic...
I really would appreciate your input!! Thank you~ I appreciate your time & expertise!
CHEERS!! S.

CHEERS!! S.

I'm not seeing gaps in the dye, and places along the seams where color is missing usually are places where the leather has been shaved down to make it easier to stitch.

The zipper does extend all the way across, it's just not completely unzipped. It looks like the inch or so that's still zipped is in the shadow of the leather that's framing the zipper. The inside zipper is a bit wavy but that can happen with genuine bags.

If you have photos that show those details differently, please post them.

Thanks Hyacinth!!
I just got the bag in the mail today & the zipper does not extend the length of the pocket. I will take some pics tomorrow & also compare it to some of my other City Bags. It just doesn't feel RIGHT to me, beyond the pocket...Maybe I'm going crazy with too many bags to rehab? Anyway,Have A FAB EVENING & I'll send some pics manana!! CHEERS! Sheri
