I'm sure I got a dud in this pile somewhere....wait till you see this Willis monstrosity I have. I haven't gotten pics of that one yet. Either way, it's well worth it by now!

Heck, it wouldn't be a Coach collection without a fake Willis in there somewhere! I have one of those myself -no, make that 2.

Good luck with the rest!

Absolutely! I didn't think so yesterday though. When I got the bags home, I saw the missing serial numbers and funky zippers on some of the bags and my heart just plummeted. I was already rehearsing my "I want my money back, it's illegal to sell counterfeit bags" speech for when I called the guy back. This is so freaking cool! The original lot was for 17 bags but when I started to pretend I knew what I was talking about with the metal stamps and cartouche imprints the guy pulls out this second trash bag of bags and says "You seem to really appreciate these, why don't you just take these ones too?" Then he gives me the Beekman briefcase, both of the other briefcases, the clutch, and the suspender bag for no extra charge. Holy crap!! I feel like I robbed him now.
You hit a gold mine!! Congratulations.

May I please request an authentication of this bag I got through Craigslist yesterday? It measures approximately 14L x 3W x 9H. There is no serial number under the creed so I believe this bag is fake. It was free, the seller told me to just take it with the rest of the lot I bought, so no loss if its fake. Probably a marketing tote #9665
May I please request an authentication of this bag I got from Craigslist yesterday? It measures approximately 13L x 4W x 9H. It looks and feels really nice but it has a funky zipper pull. It is a pre-creed cartouche stamp. Thank you!!

slim satchel standard #9430
May I please request an authentication of this (clutch?) bag I got through Craigslist yesterday? It measures approximately 11L x 2W x 8H, when squished flat. It has a Talon zipper! I don't know why I find that so exciting. Thank you!

This is probably a very early convertible clutch. Those eyelets are for attaching the strap.

That's like my ideal situation lol. I think I would've died! How many bags did you get total.
I got 22 total but I don't think two of them are Coach bags. They look and feel like vintage coach but they have no identification in them at all. One has a kisslock on the outside of the tote but it doesn't look like any of the Coach kisslocks on eBay. That was another freebie that the seller just threw in. I also got a City bag (?) that was supposedly made in India but the serial number looks thick and blocky like I've seen on fake bags. But what do I know? Hyacinth just schooled me on my Coach ignorance. What a happy education that was!! Some of them are badly damaged too, but the hardware or straps are in good shape. And surprisingly, none of them smell like mold or cigarettes. I think I got really lucky!

I got lucky! I bought a batch of 20 bags from an estate sale and these three were in the lot. I got some fakes for sure...unless Coach made a Willis in India, released a Courier without a serial number, and put a ranch bag strap on a stewardess...but I got some good ones too. I have to post pics of some of the others tonight when I get home from work. I'm just relieved these three turned out to be ok! But no more estate sales for me, I can't handle the stress.
A Courier without a serial number is a possibility. When they first introduced creeds, they did not have the numbers at first. Couriers fit that timeframe.

For the ones that look and feel like vintage Coach, is it possible that they were made by Meyers? Bonnie Cashin also worked for them and produced designs similar to Coach. There should be a stamp somewhere if that’s the case, but sometimes those are very faint.

Just put them up...its better to know what you have and work with it...then to leave it in a box and wonder. You could be surprised.

That seller has been mentioned more than once for mixing real and fake and not making any effort to authenticate her items. We don't recommend her, search tPF for the name.

This particular one is genuine.

Maybe? I don't see any stamps of any kind. The brown bag looks very Coach to me but the kisslock tote, not as much. Something just isn't right about it. The leather is very soft though, it will still make a nice book bag. Here they are:

Thank you Hyacinth....
I knew that name rang a bell and not in a good way, if Post Pouches weren't so darn expensive I would not have bought from her.
I got to learn how to use the search function properly, I ran the name and got no match on it.

I'm awfully glad she is good genuine tho.
