I’m not sure if it’s too soon to bump, is it 12 or 24 hours? Also not sure if this post is or was hidden awaiting mod approval again.
I saw this bag and compared it to a bag posted on another thread here, I also saw what I thought was a green version on the coach website.
I bid and won, and continued to look for info on the bag. I couldn’t find much else in addition to what I already found. I searched the style number and got a couple links to Poshmark :/ and couple listings on eBay, one of which looks to have been removed. Nothing like other bags that have pages of search results.
I’m not feeling good about this one, if possible could you look at it for me? As always, thank you!

Comments: What does the small circle impression to the left of the Coach stamp mean? I've seen it on many bags, but not all. I think I saw an X stamped on one too. Thanks!

It's fine. The target stamp means it was sold at an outlet.
And the "X" stamp is done to bags that are sent to discounters like Marshall's, TJ Maxx and the like. The X stamped bags aren't eligible for warranty service although I've never come across one with manufacturer defects. Usually they're discontinued, shopworn or customer returns but not in quantities worth putting into their outlet stores.

Hi all, I have a couple items whose names I'm unsure about but would like authenticated when you have a moment. Thank you so much.

#1 is (I believe) a Coach Mini Hampton(?), purchased at a Goodwill, dimensions are 8.75" width, 4.5" length, 2.25" base, serial number on creed is No J040-7542.
20190407_165033.jpg 20190407_165049.jpg 20190407_165055.jpg 20190407_165059.jpg 20190407_165200.jpg

#2 is what appears to be a vintage Coach but I don't know the name; acquired from a Salvation Army, dimensions are 7.25" width, 7.75" length, 2.25" base, serial number on creed is No 192-4745.
20190407_160758.jpg 20190407_160817.jpg 20190407_160833.jpg 20190407_160855.jpg 20190407_160919.jpg

There's no serial number or if there is one it's unreadable, and that's not the kind of top handle a Plaza Bag has. It's also a Bean Bag creed and a good percentage of those are fakes. The only thing that's actually accurate is the creed and it's scary how close that one is to the real one. Makes me wonder if that original Coach creed stamp ended up in some counterfeiting plant.

The strap wasn't made by Coach either and the zipper pull on the inside pocket is wrong. I really hope you didn't buy that POS.
I had emailed Goodwill Online about this bag and they finally got back to me. I am really disappointed with their response. I copied the part that really bothered me.

"Thank you for your email. Please know that all products that are sold at Shopgoodwill of North Florida undergo an authentication process with extensive research. If the brand is not authentic then we cannot sell it; however, this is not to say that mistakes do not happen."

They don't say which company authenticated it but whoever it is needs to be fired. In the past, I've bought fakes from Goodwill Online. It was one of my first purchases online. I had them authenticated here and then Goodwill accepted my return. They had mentioned that the process is to have the items authenticated on their end and if deemed fake they would refund me. I think at that time, they didn't want the hassle so just issued me a refund once they received the order back. I worry now that if that happened they would not refund the money because of their authenticators. It is something to be aware of if purchasing from them.

Please authenticate when you can. Thank you

Although I strongly recommend against doing business on Poshmark and I generally don't authenticate their items, I'll comment on this one.

Like so many other listings and sellers on Poshmark, acj527 is either knowingly lying or has no clue about Coach.

Coach didn't make that item and the tag is fake along with the nonsensical BS information printed on that tag.

I suspect their "experts" are in-house employees who have access to a computer and google. If that's the "extensive research" they do, they're bound to make more mistakes than they'd get right because there's more INACCURATE information in cyberspace than there is accurate info.

And if they do actually pay some professional company to do their evaluations, they aren't getting their money's worth........or maybe they're getting what they paid for!

My suggestion for any online purchases is to use a credit card to pay for the item. That way, if you don't get satisfaction from the vendor or website, you have your card company to fall back on.

The bag shown in the pictures is authentic and vintage. I don't know the name of the style and measurements might be needed to ID it.

Hi authenticator. I bought this city bag and thought it looked fine but when I compare it with my other city bags it has different hardware attaching the straps to the bag. On this one the rings are really thick. Also the buckle is smaller. But maybe someone just gave it a new strap or... It's a fake ( a good one!) The turnlock seems fine though. But maybe a funny font for numbers? Now as I took these I realise it's probably a fake.. Can you confirm?11 x 8 x 3.25 ish
