Hi there, I've been eyeing this bag online. Wondering if anyone could authenticate? The bag style looks accurate but the creed looks very strange to me.

Item: Coach Court
Listing number: 226727972
Seller: CraigOandAlice

There isn't any problem with the creed or serial number, they're correct for the date of the bag which is early 1990s and the bag is genuine. What is unusual is the glossy look of the leather. I wonder if the seller has used some kind of oil on it. It might be a good idea to ask her what kind of conditioner she used to bring out that shine.

Can I get some hope with this item - is it authentic and is it a Carrier or Musette?

Seller: aholzwasser
Comments: I believe it may be a Carrier, as it has the zippered inside pocket.
I agree, it is a carrier, and I think it is okay.
Also, there's this duffle on eBay that's bright yellow I'd like some insight into:
Item: Vintage Coach Duffle Mustard

Seller: Macbabe29
Item Number:

This one really worries me. I don't see anything other than the extremely wrinkled textured leather that is wrong, but without a complete creed picture, I wouldn't want to take a chance. I can't imagine what would have made the leather that way. Coach didn't make that style in that kind of leather. The zipper appears green so I would be leaning towards lime. I have a banana item with a zipper that is nearly orange.
The creed appears to be genuine, but I've never seen a Coach with such a hodge-podge of leather textures before. Even the pocket that the creed is stamped on is so "textured" that the creed itself is illegible, and that style 9085 was NOT available in any type of textured or pebbled leather AFAIK. It would also be nice to see another example of the last photo that's actually reasonably well-lit so we could see just what the seller is (or ISN'T) trying to show. It's a strange color too, hard to figure out if it's actually the 1997 Lime shade or maybe Banana from 1995. I only have a few 1996 catalogs but that color isn't in them.

So - probably genuine but I'd advise caution especially if someone's buying it to re-sell.

I agree, the Musette didn't have a zipped inside pocket. It also looks like it has an outside back pocket although that's not mentioned in the listing. But the shape seems more squared off in the bottom corners than either one, unless that's because of whatever the owner was carrying in the bag.

I think it's ok but would really like WHATEVE to verify. Maybe she can take a look at the Duffle Sac in your other post too.

Ah okay, I'll do that. Thanks for your help!

What's everyone's thoughts on this bag being authentic? It's past auction time now so I missed out (hopefully thankfully) but I just had a gut feeling Coach don't make turnlocks in this style plus lack of photos didn't fill me with confidence either; any input would be much appreciated
Item Name (if you know it): Coach turnlock crossbody style

Welcome! Please refer to post 1, page 1 for the posting format and info we need, including seller ID and link to the listing. (Even if the listing has ended, unless ebay removed the listing, there is a link to the listing. Go to completed, click on the listing and copy and paste the URL.)

At this point, it's good that you missed out because it can't be authenticated with the pictures shown.

That's fair enough thanks; I see another bag I'm seriously interested in so I will post in the correct format so if you wouldn't mind taking a look thanks

Luckily my roommate was home to snag pictures of the "Yellow" bag - turns out it was more of a mustard color. Overall good condition, but many pen marks that weren't shown in the listing.

Item: unspecified pink coach bag
Listing number: 183549542804
Seller: ebay

Comments: Any help with this authenticity of this bag is much appreciated.
Ebay isn't the seller; that's the venue.
The seller ID is: nems94 and is posted at the top of the listing on the right side where it says "seller information."

Although the seller has shown 12 pictures, she doesn't include several that are necessary for authentication purposes.

If needed photos are shown in the listing, it's not necessary to recopy them in a request but the following describes what pictures are needed, in this case, referring to bags made post 2014.

From post 1:
  • Please be sure to include a clear readable photo of the creed stamp and serial number from inside the bag or accessory if there is one, and the bag's measurements when the bag is an older or vintage leather Coach.
  • Since mid-2014, Coach stopped putting serial numbers on creeds so in newer bags where the creeds don't have serial numbers, we also need to see pictures of the labels/tags from inside the bag. They are either both in the main open part sewn into the seam of the lining, or one might be buried deep inside the zipper pocket. One shows where made and the other has a serial number.

seller LADIES COUTURE

Did you already purchase the bag? I'm assuming the pictures you've posted are of the bag you received.

I'm not comfortable with the seller. Pictures in the listing appear to be stolen (or "borrowed") from other sources and do not show the same bag you received.
1. The creed in the listing has a horse and carriage logo at the top of the creed. Your bag has "COACH."
2. The creed in the listing doesn't have a serial number. Your bag does have one.
3. Some bags of that style (made in 2015) did have horse and carriage creeds and without serial numbers, your pictures show a bag made in 2017 with a serial number. Seller shouldn't be showing a completely different bag (authentic or not) with details that don't match the year that the bag she sold was made.
4. There are a couple of things that bother me but I'd like to see better (clear and straight on) pictures of the markings on the rings (with the Coach name), pictures of both sides of the made in tag (inside left seam in lining) and a straight on picture (not angled) of the full front of the bag. If there are diagonal seams going from the handle anchors to the corners, picture should show them.

Note that zipper brand is irrelevant.
