Thank you! What would you retail it at hypothetically?

We don't estimate prices, even hypothetically. The best thing to do is search Ebay in the Completed Listings category and look for the amounts shown in green to see what other Coaches with the same style number or with a similar design and in the same condition sold for.

There are also paid services like Worthpoint that sellers can use to track auction selling prices but I can't say how accurate they are. The bottom line is that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it at that particular point in time.

Leather appears to be genuine and the coach monogram is on the fabric on the inside. I’ve tried every other avenue I can think of to authenticate this. Please help!

It's authentic.

Just to add to Hyacinth's post, I want to say that comparing your particular item to others to get a ballpark value becomes even more difficult for a couple of reasons. Due to its being a small item without a creed/serial number and also because it's a MFF (made for factory) item sold only at the Coach outlet stores, the item wouldn't have been in catalogs.

In your case, doing broad key word searches might be effective in finding others that look similar. My suggested search would be "Coach kisslock leather coin" and see what comes up. You'll have to weed through lots of different styles but you might find some close enough to gauge a value.

"Value" and worth are difficult to determine. An item is worth what a willing buyer and an available seller with the same item settle for.

There are so many variables. Color, condition, rarity, etc. all make determining a price hard so both buyers and sellers have to do their research.

(ETA: When posting a followup question and referring to a previous post, please link back to that older post so we know the item in question. Use the multi-quote function.)

ATTENTION POSTERS:

Please refer to post 1, page 1 for the posting format and information we want to see when authenticating items.

Even if the item wasn't purchased from an online venue, please state that.

If all required information isn't posted, we may not respond to requests.

Thanks! I just can’t seem to find a similar pair anywhere else. Also got them for a very good price. Thanks again
I searched "Coach desert boots" and found another pair of Ace, the style name shown on your shoes. (Note that many sellers don't use the style names in listing their items, especially shoes since they may not even realize what the markings inside indicate.)

Another thing about Coach is that they don't make their shoes. Coach licenses various brand shoe manufacturers to make their items with the Coach name. And that's why, at the end of seasons, Coach boutiques offer reductions on shoes, whereas they don't put bags and accessories on "clearance."

If you search ebay (and other sites) for "Coach desert boots," you might find other Ace styles as well as many other Coach boots. There are many similar styles, but since they aren't identical, there will be differences.

Item: Vintage Coach (or Cosch)
Listing number: 283283183824
Seller: yo_09

Comments: I think it's fake but I'm only 99.9% sure. I've never seen a bullseye on a fake creed or this kind of creed setup. I'm including a couple of pics because auction is almost over. Also, 9186 is a different style.View attachment 4270136 View attachment 4270137
The bag is authentic.

It's 9136 and is the correct of the bag in the listing.

AUTHENTICATE This COACH

Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread.

Note: The PurseForum requests that only members with an extensive knowledge of the brand and authenticating who have over 500 posts participate as authenticators in this AT thread. The moderators reserve the right to remove authentications that do not meet these requirements.

Please follow the following rules:

  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.

  • If the bag in question is not on an auction site, please use the following:

Item Name (if you know it):
    Link (if available):
Then attach any photos (all authentication must include photos.)
    • Please be sure to include a clear readable photo of the creed stamp and serial number from inside the bag or accessory if there is one, and the bag's measurements when the bag is an older or vintage leather Coach.
    • Since mid-2014, Coach stopped putting serial numbers on creeds so in newer bags where the creeds don't have serial numbers, we also need to see pictures of the labels/tags from inside the bag. They are either both in the main open part sewn into the seam of the lining, or one might be buried deep inside the zipper pocket. One shows where made and the other has a serial number.

  • Do NOT PM an authenticator or moderator to request authentication. Any and all such requests should be posted in this thread.

Can someone help me? I own this bag but I don’t know what it is or it’s value. It was a special edition purchased at a Coach Boutique but all information I can find doesn’t say anything about a J serial #. I estimate it’s purchase around 2010? Since then things have been a blur of injuries and personal hurdles. I’d love to sell. Approx 15” wide across the bottom by 4 seam to seam with bottom rivets in tact. Removable large chain cross body strap. About 12” tall. Pink interior satin lining. Stored in original cream colored dust bag and does need some interior cleaning so I’d love any advice on where I can take it since I have two injured arms. Thanks!

Thank-you for your assistance in authenticating this bag.

Item: coach bucket bag
Listing: eBay (ended)
Seller: nikireifen
Comments: The Coach tag is double sided- two pieces of leather glued together. Seems fake.
