Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.

  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read

Thanks so much, she was very easy to work with and assured me if it ended up being fake she would allow the return. So I will post some better pics after it arrives, thank you so much for everything.

It's authentic. That is a common mistake this plant made on Sheridans. Made in 1994, not the 80s as the seller claims.

Please read post 1 for the correct format for future requests.

Are you aware of the fact that Sheridans and Dakotas and several other Coach lines have different creeds than "standard" vintage Coaches? Maybe you should look at a few more examples from the same year range AND read the Salearea Guides that talk about Sheridans before deciding that something about the creed looks wrong. While I can see a fairly common mistake found in many genuine bags from that time period, I don't see any actual authenticity problems.

What "accidental typo" are you talking about? Seridan instead of Sheridan? "Sheridan" is correct, the only typo I can find seems to be in your question. (Sometimes people, myself included, DO make mistakes typing.) If you mean the "never used" in the description, while it apparently HAS been used, that's a question you need to take up with the seller. She may have copied the description from another listing. I wouldn't call a mistake in the description a typo (which is defined as a typing error), but I tend to take things literally.

It's probably okay. It's hard to see the pictures with that big sold sign over everything.

You can right click on the image and select "view image" and the SOLD banner goes away.

The description states, "Has Coach Tag but is not a Coach Handbag."I'm willing to bet it also has a creed and serial number even though she describes it as "unbranded."

I love the unlined bags. I have a vintage Dooney and Bourke from the 80s without lining. It looks so cool. Plus it will bio degrade unlike all the plastic coated and injected materials a lot of brands are currently using. Better for the environment.

Genuine, but a bag that "just needs a little love" needs to be looked at CLOSELY. It's not the stitching that I'm worried about. If you haven't, I suggest that you do, preferably with a computer or tablet that can use the Zoom feature, not just a phone. There seems to be some damage around or above the strap attachment on the left side. Look at the photo showing the inside of the bag and the inside pocket zipper from above, it looks like there's a hole in the side panel. Then skip ahead to that side's photo which also seems to show some torn leather right above the strap base.

More opinions are welcome. Maybe I'm just imagining things.
