Interested in your thoughts on this one. With my luck, it's probably a no go, but the size is just what I'm looking for...I couldn't find the '307' anywhere, so I'm guessing it's not authentic. If it's not, is it the after the dash part that makes it off? I thought the inner upper rim of the bag looked off, but it's older, so maybe it just got that way with time. Is there a place where the plant codes are listed? I'm trying to absorb all I can, and I sure wouldn't ask about every bag I'm interested in. I have no idea what you guys do for a living, but I'm sure God didn't put you on this earth soley to answer my newbie questions!

It's authentic. This bag was made before 1994 so the number is unique and has no relation to the style number. Before 1994, Coach used unique serial numbers in their bags so no two bags would have the same serial number. In 1994, they started the current system with date and plant codes and style numbers in the creed. It's a Soho Bag #4082 from the early 90s.

The pictures are dark so it is hard to see the condition. I would ask the seller if anything was used on it. You don't want a bag that has been treated with shoe polish.

You'd get a LOT more useful and accurate information by reading the six Salearea Coach Guides formerly posted at Ebay and now posted with updated information here at tPF, instead of looking for plant codes that don't prove anything without analyzing a lot of other information in the serial number that is difficult or impossible to find online, even here.

The Guides are Pinned to the top of this Forum under SaleArea Guides. Start at Post number 14 and continue to the end of the thread.

It will also save us a lot of time having to repeat the same information dozens or even hundreds of times since most questions people ask, or misunderstandings or bad information they're already dealing with, are covered in the Guides. So please read them, use them and remember where you found them.

Questions about specific authentications should still be asked here. Spending your time fruitlessly looking for style number "307" could have been avoided by reading and referring back to the Guides.

I don't see a creed. I'd like to see a better picture of the made in tag and there should be a white label buried somewhere inside the bag. If there's a zippered pocket, it may be inside that, or in the open pocket or maybe sewn into the lining.

This is the additional pic I got, (i posted a few previously posted as well) I would appreciate your opinion, I don't know if this is enough to say it is or isn't but I thank you.

Thank you, I asked for additional pictures as I also don't see a creed, I do see a tag in the second pic, I can make out Made in but that's about it, hopefully more pictures will help. Thanks so much, I'll post as soon as I get them.

I'm sorry but because I dislike Poshmark and their business practices, I don't authenticate items from that site.

The listing on ebay from isoldit.il0219 is fake. The serial number, 0974-534 is a known invalid serial number. If you're the buyer, either don't pay (if you haven't yet) or demand a refund.

Thank you, she's never owned a coach so it's difficult to explain but I'll admit I know much when there's not a creed so i'm still learning myself. It looks pretty good otherwise, that label she does show at least makes me feel better it's really cheap so if she is unable to find the tag your speaking of I might take a shot, I'll ask and see where that takes me.. thanks so much!!
