I'd avoid this listing from Cathy on Gumtree.

Compare her cosmetic mix to my own comps.

First I compare a fake to Coach's own stock image. Second comp is that fake compared the Cathy - Gumtree picture. Notice that the fake has the same "off" differences as Cathy's keychain as well as the same box.

I'll add a close-up of what I believe to be a genuine 92289 Cosmetic Mix keychain. With many closely-faked keychains, the chain itself including the metal's finish and size of the links can be used to determine authenticity, Coach multiple-charm keychains from this period had very specific details that the fakers never got quite right. Even the depth of the enameling on the charms can be a red flag, the enamel on charms with very few exceptions usually has a very smooth surface. You could pretty much run the tip of your fingernail across the face of most of the enameled charms and not feel any highs or lows, or get your nail stopped or chipped by a metal border around a section of enamel (the exceptions on this particular keychain are the raised Cs on the cosmetic bag charm, but they're supposed to be raised, and the Lips charm is supposed to be slighty "puffy" like real lips).

Here is a picture I took of one I bought myself at a Coach store. I don't have it anymore. The mistakes I see most often is that the charms are flat. On the authentic version, the lips and the cosmetic bag are slightly 3-D.92289 makeup353 cosmetic lipstick lips glasses sunglasses.jpg

Thank you so much for everyone's help and input... so far.. I haven't purchased anything yet.. she did say she had receipts but currently away on holiday until the 21st of Jan, so aren't able to take photos until then. I did post the link to the local Buy swap sell but may not open the link properly.
I'll avoid all together until she can provide better pics of everything. Thank-you again everyone

There's no comp in my files but it seems a style they probably would have made. IF it's real, it's an old style since there's no stamp at all on the back. I also DON'T like the difference in the thickness of the three links and the open unsoldered gap in the first photo. Probably not enough evidence to report it, but I wouldn't buy it.

Both the cosmetic mix fob and the heart lock key fob are fake. You can see the lips are completely flat, among other problems. We've seen that same heart lock fake before. You can see it looks like the fake on the left, not the authentic on the right.

ATTENTION ithinkimacoachaddict

And although no more proof is needed, EVERY "COACH" KEYCHAIN HAS A FAKE FONT IN THE COACH LOGO. None of those letters are the exact shape they should be, and that includes the Coach hangtags too, which are great indicators of fake keychains since they're another detail the fakers hardly ever get right. If you look at the comparison pics in Whateve's post and compare closely the fonts used in ALL of the Coach logos in the faketo the one in the pic you posted you'll see that they're identical.

Coach doesn't mess around with their trademarked graphics especially their corporate logos. That's why they're trademarked and protected by law. Variations that don't appear in any known genuine Coach items are a BIG red flag.

That's why large, clear photos are so important. I hope you didn't buy any of that shyte from seller " Cathy on Gumtree "

I don't know whether my previous post was clear but I agree that both are fake.
