Hello all! New to this forum. Was hoping someone could authenticate this bag I got on eBay for my mum. MSRP was $295 in the store and I ended up only paying $85 on eBay (was marked as like new- gently used). However, when I got the bag it was a little more used than the user had originally stated (some of the leather looks a little cracked). When searching online I noticed there is some variation in the Black/Smoke Edie bag which makes me wonder if it's fake, or if it's real it's definitely an older model.

Item: *Supposedly* a Coach Edie 31 Black/Smoke BagView attachment 3884137View attachment 3884138View attachment 3884139View attachment 3884140View attachment 3884141
Welcome to TPF.

The bag looks fine (as far as authenticity goes). It's from 2016.

For future requests, please refer to post #1 for the posting format, part of which includes showing the seller ID and a link to the listing.

Perhaps, I'm being crazy. But it seems as though sellers blocked people who are in the purse forum, especially if you name is the same. Coincidence?
I doubt it but it is possible. I haven't been blocked by many, if any. They might block someone who asks questions or questions authenticity. Buyers that other sellers have had problems in the past are often talked about in the tpf ebay forum, and those buyers are added to many blocked lists.

Please help me authenticate these two items. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Item: Coach Edie & turnlock wallet (both red)
Listing number: 122768516506
Seller: kygirl1998

Comments: I already purchased this Edie and wallet on Ebay. There is no serial number anywhere, but I realize not all creeds have them these days. The interior white tag also does not have one in the Edie (it only reads: Made in Vietnam). The wallet does have a number though. I immediately noticed the description was for the smaller Edie and asked the seller about it, and she said her husband helped her find the description online and apologized (at that time I had already bid), but she confirmed the photographs are of the actual items being sold. I went ahead and purchased, but want to ensure it's authentic (I know I should have asked beforehand, sorry). I've taken more photos, but not sure which you need to help authenticate.

I think that posh itself could be blocking people from tpf rather than individual sellers.
On the ebay subforum, there's a long Poshmark thread and I've posted some recent comments about being unable to ask questions there. I don't know if Poshmark suspended me or if they've blocked my ability to comment and ask questions but if it's the latter, it's probably because they don't like people who point out fakes.

The wallet looks fine. And although I don't see any red flags on the bag, I think you're missing (i.e., not finding) the white production tag.

Did you stick your hand way down and feel around the inside of the zippered pocket? You might even have to pull the pocket inside out to find it.

I did do that and found nothing. :-/
It does look exactly like my other Edie though (same quality leather, etc.), but no production tag... Are they ever missing altogether? Thanks again!
