Hard to be sure without measurements but it looks genuine although I'm not sure of the style. It's like a City Bag but has the wrong strap attachments. It might be a style 9795 Spectator Bag from 1987

Thanks Hyacinth. I have a Spectator for comparison and it doesn't have a pocket under the flap. Could it be a Rambler?

No, definitely not a Rambler. And according to this 1987 catalog page the Spectator does have a pocket under the flap (and so does the Rambler).

I bought this on eBay a couple weeks ago. Receiving it, the zipper feels really rough so now I'm wondering if it's authentic.

Thoughts? Hopefully I attached the photos correctly...

O.k. Maybe, most likely probably a spectator. The bag I was comparing it to was authenticated here and identified as a spectator. I am trying to find the original post. I have 3 photos and measurements. It does not have a pocket under the flap. It does have open pocket on the back, and an inside zip pocket. The shape is slightly tapered with a wide bottom. 11 x 8 x 3.5

The earliest versions of the Spectator didn't have a pocket under the flap. The Spectator WITHOUT the underflap front pocket was intro'd some time around mid-1987 as a style 9795. The front pocket was added in 1988 and the style number changed to 9796.

So you have a style 9795 from 1987 or early 1988. I posted the wrong date information for the catalog picture, the pic in my earlier post is from Spring 1989. Here's the pic of the no-front-pocket style 9795 from 1987:

Can someone authenticate this creed for me? I think it looks okay but he only thing that bothers me is the circular thing in the top right corner? Thanks in advance!

You don't authenticate just a creed. You authenticate a bag. Please post photos of the entire bag, front, back, inside and hardware, including the tiny piece of white fabric hidden along the seam of the inside pocket with letters and numbers showing the production codes. It would also help if you could experiment with the angle of the patch and the lighting so we can read the creed clearly and examine the details of the letters.

A creed just by itself doesn't prove anything. How hard do you think it is for fakes makers to copy a creed stamping? Not very.

Also please read post number 1 In this thread for a list of the information needed for authentications. Thanks!
