None of my coin purses that I can recall have the "purse-style" pronged turnlock, with or without indentations, although the very first "mini" version may have had that type of turnlock, without indentations . And they were made to match the Coach bag colors and AFAIK Coach NEVER did a Kelly Green leather for ANY style during the time period they were making the small coin purses.

I'm going to join the "Fake" line on this one too.

ETA - it's not easy to see in this photo, but all the following "large" con purses had turnlock backs with a raised border around the hole, see the thumbnail below

I believe @Suzanne B. has it in green, and hers has the turnlock we are used to seeing in these.

The only thing that looks authentic to me on this bag is the hang tag... Am I being paranoid LOL?

Seller says it doesn't have a serial number. I bet it doesn't have a creed either. I think it is some other brand that she put a hangtag on. It wasn't made by Coach. Maybe not counterfeit exactly, but keyword spamming for sure.

Hmm what do yall think about this listing on eBay, I've never seen any of the clutches with only two tea roses, but the seller claims it was part of the Toronto international film festival goodie bag. Everything looks good but I still think it's a weird listing

FYI, in the future we might see more customized bags for resale. Those tea roses, along with some other metal decorations, sit in large jars in NY flagship store, and you can add them as you wish to certain bags you buy there. Don't know if they have a limit, but you can definitely add just two or three wherever you want them on your bag.

Since there are no known genuine comparables it can't be positively authenticated although I don't see any red flags. But I seriously doubt if any counterfeiter is going to bother making something like that plus the add-ons shown in the listing photos.

You're just going to have to take a chance.

ETA - please note - I DID Google "toronto international film festival swag" but a very quick search didn't turn up any mention of a Coach product. However I have an appointment to keep and no more time to look at the moment so you might want to do the same thing but take the time to look deeper into the search results

I didn't find anything either but like Hyacinth, I don't see anything that screams that it's fake.

Personally, I'd be hesitant to sell it in the future because like so-called "sample" and "prototype" items, there's no way to prove authenticity.

Ugh! While I get why Coach is doing this, it's just another opportunity for less-than-ethical sellers to "prove" authenticity of fakes, either by attaching them to fakes or by selling than separately in a lot listing of genuine props mixed with fakes.
I think I found the original version of the wristlet to which the flowers were added.

The wristlet is style 58818 and is called Glove Tan clutch.

Is this coin purse authentic? I've never seen such a vibrant green!
Item: mini City bag coin purse

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/282655375652
Seller: bessbam

The only thing with "Coach" is the hangtag and that doesn't look genuine. There's nothing on the coin purse that says it's Coach and the grooved turnlock back is a red flag.

I don't believe it's authentic. Other opinions are welcome.

ETA: bessbam sold this fake:

not just grooves on the turnlock, but these usually had a different kind of turnlock. I can't remember if we've seen any authentic ones with this style of turnlock. These might have been made in an apple green, probably not as bright as that. I have a kisslock coin purse in green.

ETA: yes, there was a green similar to my coin purse.

I just tried putting two city bag keychain pictures together; when you don't see them side-by-side, you don't realize 170922_231731_COLLAGE-1.png how many small details are actually different...

Here is mine and the listing item looked a lot different than mine so I was very suspicious along with the color being very strange.

Would you be able to authenticate this bag which is in my possession. I measure it 28cm wide by 20 cm high by 8cm deep (external) and the key fob inside comes off as it's attached via a popper. There's a slip pocket at the back of the bag.

Item - Metropolis bag
