Fake? Starts with J8D.

Vintage Coach Light Green Cross Body Handbag 4104
Item 271782114963
Seller cheesestickbaby
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Coa...8&pid=100005&rk=3&rkt=6&sd=261782768264&rt=nc

The fonts especially the ones used in the serial number are wrong for bags made at the D plant in late 1998. It should look like this:
I'd avoid cheesestickbaby. This listing from the seller is also fake:

It's an authentic crescent bag if that creed picture is really for this bag. Did you notice that the creed picture is a different color than the rest? It is from the late 70s or 80s.
I noticed that too. I just sent the seller an email asking why that is :) I'm assuming that it's because the bag was photoshopped to be able to show the creed, but we'll see what the seller says.

Hello everyone. I have been a lurker. Today I am officially a poster. I have learned so much. Thank you to all who contribute.

I saw two purses on Ebay on Sunday. One was made in Korea...I contacted the seller who told me he was going to handle it. 48 hours later, it is still there..

Coach purse with long strap
Seller: stormchaser666
Item number: 161605587299

Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/161605587299?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

Comments would be appreciated.

There is a second which I am going to post separately just to make sure I have this right.

Thank you.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE !!!

The navy tote sold on January28 was also fake, the serial fonts aren't the ones used by the C plant:

Do NOT buy any Coach products from cheesestickbaby !!!

Here are fake and genuine creeds from the C plant in 1999. Top is FAKE, Bottom is Genuine. Note the too-long underline and the slightly squished "united states" in the fake.

ETA - Many of the fake *9C- prefixes also look as if the name "Coach" in the cartouche at the top of the creed is going downhill.

It's fake. Report! And since stormchaser666 didn't "handle it" appropriately, I wouldn't do business with him.

The seller knows it's fake. The first listing he had for the bag had "authentic original" in the title and description. The relisted item (as well as the other listings) don't use original or authentic and they have a sort of authenticity "ignorance" disclaimer in the descriptions.

Apparently his way of "handling it" is to remove "authentic" and "original" from the listing and claim that as a male, he doesn't carry nor know purses.
